it seems kinda pointless to wait.
1. I don't plan on gettin married til I'm 30 or so
2. I sure as hell don't want there to be any surprise
3. If you waiting til marriage for sex, chances are that you won't be moving in together til you're married. How do you know a marriage can work if you never lived with your spouse?

On another note, it seems to me that the people who are waiting til marriage are uber-religious. All of these uber-religious people I've know got engage right after high school or soon after to the first person they ever dated. It really seems more like arranged marriage to me than anything. And following those lines would leave your life destined for unhappiness and failure.

I will wait till marriage. You ask how you know marriage can work out if you haven't lived with your spouse, well if you truly love them(meaning total sacrifice, that you will do anyhthing for the other person), you should have no worries. There are a lot of reasons why you should wait, but I won't go into them.
I don't deny there are bad things in the US right now, hell, 51% of the country to be exact. But god damnit, our country being fat is NOT a problem. I do't give a shit how fat people are. hell, fat kids are harder to kidnap, that means our country is safer.

to 'theartistformerlyknownasjik' that some funny shit. if that is your view of people who keep sex for marriage, you have really skewed view. there are shitload of people who wait for marriage and they still date for a few years. too big of a risk of pregnancy before marriage. even with birthcontrol methods, things happen, i know multiple couples that saved sex for marriage, and despite using birth control, they got pregnant unexpectedly after they were married.

if a girl is using birth contro lpills properly and you use a condom, chances are like one in a million or even less that she'll get pregnant. Most women don't take the pill properly, thats the problem. I can't wait until male birth control comes out. I hate having to trust women so much. Condoms are only 76% effective, birth control is 99.9%, and thats only because the gov. won't let them add the other 9s to the end.
