OUTKAST IS BACK

RevoltTV confirmed that OutKast is reuniting for 2014 and they're planning a tour as well. So you don't have to head to the desert to see the Atlanta duo back in action.

Coachella 2014 is still five months away, but at least one big reunion has been reported. According to Billboard, multiple sources have reported that OutKast is planning to reunite at the festival, which takes place April 11-13 and April 18-20.

One unnamed source told the magazine that it's "all systems go" for Big Boi and Andre 3000 to reunite. The group's last album, Idlewild, was released in 2006. Reps for the band, label and Coachella organizer Goldenvoice declined to comment.

Andre and Big Boi haven't exactly been quiet since Idlewild. The former has dropped in on tracks by Drake and Ke$ha, among others, and is set to star as Jimi Hendrix in the musician's biopic All Is by My Side. Big Boi has released two albums—2010's Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty and 2012's Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors—to critical acclaim.

They're overlooked by the general public not so much in the music industry.

If you asked someone who were some great groups from when they were younger they'd name off a bunch. You could then say OutKast and they would be like Oh yea! They were good.

Yea, but playing a song off Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik and having people not know it doesn't mean they weren't massive, it just means their older stuff wasn't as big. But I know what you're trying to say.

Apparently they'll be at over 40 fests. They're on the governors ball and firefly lineups. Hoping one of the better fests picks them up.

I can't find tour dates though. Maybe jambase has them

I'm bumping this because they've done a bunch of shows now and I believe more people than me on here have seen them.

Personally I loved the show, really did. Music was obviously amazing, and live hiphop is still a rare wonder to me. But it was also kinda weird. 3000 stood really still the whole show, or tangled himself into his mic-cord. They had this sort of pause in the middle were they played some slow RnB songs that no one had really heard before. Also they had naked girls on the screen behind them, which ruined the atmosphere a bit. Sweden is going through a very big feminist movement right now, so it wasn't received very well. People left and stuff.

So yeah, if you've seen them, what did you think?

Saw them at Summerfest, they raged. It was super good, both were very high energy, Big Boi hadn't lost a step lyrically, Andre was still weird as phuk haha. I dunno, i totally dug it.
