Super curious as to who is planning to pick this up, and why/why not? The contest was clearly a highly debated topic on NS, so I figured why not keep the discussion going.

I think that this is an absolutely fantastic point. We see the same thing on Newschoolers, and that is very much the concept behind the Yearbook. Though all the stuff is already available, its nice for people who either don't want to sort through the droves of internet content, or to collect something cool they can easily digest.

The 'average person' is a big factor here. They're all very interested in what we're doing, but getting into the depths of our interwebz ways is very difficult and time consuming.

I am really hoping that this Co Lab format becomes a sort of yearbook for graduating AMs we should all be looking out for. I wan't really seeing it when it first came about but now that it's come full circle I see a lot of potential for it to serve great purpose by way of introducing us to future stars, filming crews, locations and techniques on a yearly basis that deserve exposure.

Logan's thread a while ago kind of reminded me of how upset everyone seems to be that there's so few opportunities to advance, and this is a prime example of one that has potential to be a large vehicle. Especially if they can iron out the kinks with the voting, criteria and structure. Even the Olympics- as bullshit as they are- are also a vehicle for exposure. The more "normal people" see what is going on the better it will be for the sport, plain and simple.


I'm hoping they do it again, albeit a little more polished. I'd be way more excited the next time and I hope it sticks around. It has a shitload of potential.
