Punx vs filthy rich's... second thoughts

if you are going to end up hitting 80 foot kickers, i wouldn't have the FR as my first choice. For something like that you need a full camber ski essentially that will have the stability that you need. But, on3p does make a ski for you, and that would be the Prester. It isa full camber directional park ski that is stiff, but not overkill, and was asked to be created by the team when the filthy rich couldn't handle the level 1 park shoots.

So bottom line:if you are going to be jibbing more than jumping, go with the FR. The FR can still hold its ground on big jumps, but if the big jumps are your main focus, then it makes no sense having a park ski that has that much rocker. If ALL you are going to be doing are big jumps, the prester is the best bet IMO, it will still be able to jib pretty well, but obviously not as good as the FR

As for the punx, i know that they have added minimal rocker this year(Its there though) opposed to last years full camber version. This years punx will also be stiffer than previous years making them good for bigger features

In my understanding, the skis that would best fit you go like this Prester>punx>FR

i kinda made it sound like i only hit jumps in the op but i hit about 50/50 jumps and rails so thats why i was thinking fr's but when i do hit jumps i like going big

Ya, If you are going to hit 50/50 jumps to rails, but big jumps when you hit jumps, then you could really choose any of the three skis I had listed. The filth's would obviously excel in the jibbing category, the Presters in the big jump category, and the punx a pretty much in between. Now, it is up to you to decide the specific little details you want in the ski like camber vs. rocker, width, and symmetrical vs. non symmetrical!

yea, i dont think i want presters because i like playful but need stable also so thats why i was orgonally set on fr's because they are a good flex and stable unferfoot and playful from the rocker... or so i hear

kinda thought to myself for a bit and realised if i want playful i have blends and can ride those when i wanna mess around and maybe go to a ski like presters, future spins, more or less punx, and any other options you guys think would be good

AR7's have got my vote. I have no problems jibbing on them. Also I'm the same height and roughly the same weight as you and I have zero problems hitting big jumps and going super fast. They never jitter even when going super fast and hitting really big jumps.

The AR7's are stiff but not over the top. The most important thing for butters (if you plan on doing them) is that you've got good fitting boots with a decent stiffness. You really don't want a soft ill-fitting boot because you won't be able to flex into the boot as hard and if you can't put pressure on the boot then you'll struggle to flex the skis as well.

Well i have the JMO's not the FR's, but i skied park with last years punx

as far as last years go the punx were not to great on big jumps, they were really narrow and flexy, i felt they didnt offer alot of stability in the landings but they were fun skis, im getting the FR's this year cuz i love how my JMO's ski all mountain and park

the infamous is like atomics version of the fr get that its really cheap imo for a brand new ski this years
