Need For Speed Problem

Ok I Just Baught need for speed underground and i think my video card is being retarded.. i checked the requirements and according to them my computer should be running it fine... but it isnt... i'll list what i have:
Pentium4 1.5GHz
256 Mb of Ram
DirectX9.0
Nvidia Riva TNT2 model64/64Pro
32MB of vido memory
45GB harddrive with 15GB left

...
And this is what keeps on happening when i play it

And i the words in the main menue are jumbled together... i'll post a pic of that too in a bit

describe the problem a little more. All the photo shows is that the text is a little messed up, but a detailed description of the problem makes it easier to help.

baisicly its just being a pain in the ass i cant get ti to do anyhitng relly sure i can race fin.. but i cant read the text.. i'm not sure what to click on.. and when i'm racing its hard to tell where i'm going because teh background has blended in with the foreground... but have checked teh Nvidia webside for updating my drives and have updated them, and downloaded and reinstalled directX9.0 many times and i tested it and it works fine and the game was a copy of the stores demo so it also works fine... well it should... and thats all i can think of desribing rite now.

I guess if you have an ATI card theres a bug with it using older drivers. I had no problems with my geforce 6800.

Also, if you have an older video card that doesn't support DirectX 9, thats is probably the problem too, I think the game needs it.

That said, update your directX to 9.0c and your Catalyst drivers to 4.11 if you havent already, and try setting all the video options to basic, then turning them up.

If you have an older video card that doesn't support DirectX 9, thats is probably the problem, I think the game requires it.

Yeah, you might want to upgrade your video card a bit. That will probably fix it.

i just rememberd it's 64meg's of videocard memory but everything is right it passed the test's for all the requirements.. but i think i'm still gonna buy a new video card, just something to get my by

and the game was runnign fine when i could manage to get my way into race the cars. and i'm probibly just gonna get teh radeon 9200 or 9600.. if i could get the money i'd buy the X800 but i dont and i think i might get 512 MB of DDR memory

definatly not enough video ram to run that. ive got an older laptop about 2 years and its got 16MB and it cant run simple little racing games.
