Help me pull off that ski bum flow

I just quit my job where we always had to be all clean cut, no facial hair and all that. I'm trying to rock that ski bum hair this winter but my hair is wavy and dry as eff, not exactly ideal. Not trying to get crazy with it, just want a little flow like Mr. Kenworthy. Would pomade do the trick or is it time to stop washing?
