Just want to give a big fuck you to you people who don't tip your waiter/pizza guy/bartender

Either....

a) Stay the fuck home

 b) Get off your lazy ass and go pick it up yourself

If you received fast, friendly service then there really is no excuse.

Lots of folks might say...."Well hey maybe he or she should get a better paying job"..... Ask yourself this: How easy would it be for you yourself to quit your current job, and then find one that pays better? Easier said then done fuckhead.

Not to mention that almost all delivery drivers use their own cars, their own gas, pay for insurance/repairs on their vehicle and almost always make sub minimum wage.

So If you don't want to shell out two or three extra bucks then fuck you, right up your stupid, cheap asshole.

Wouldn't really call it attitude. I'm just shocked at how clueless/ungreatful some people are when they go out to eat.

This is not true. Restaurants that pool tips are where bad servers come from. Where I worked we kept the money we made. I wouldn't work somewhere that pooled tips, fuck that.

I'd Say 85% of the time I tip.

1. I always tip the pizza delivery guy, in Canada if you order from pizza pizza there is a 40 min or free clause. its happened once I still payed the guy and tipped him 20%

2. Like a lot of people have said you have to earn your tip, if you give me shitty service then fuck you I'm not giving you extra nothing, and if you ask for it automatic 0% (Minus the fact if its something out of their control)

3. I had this one place's machine ask me for a tip on a $5 sandwich where the lady literally turned around and grabbed a sandwich off of a shelf. Hell no I didn't leave a tip. 1.she didn't make it and 2. she just, turned around.

4. you have to be really shitty for me to not at least leave a 10% tip, because I do understand that people need to make money and that tips are a major part of that in the service industry.

5. My biggest pet peeve at a restaurant is when your server just disappears for like 25 min. and no one even checks on you. (sometimes its just busy, but thats not really an excuse, the restaurant should have enough staff to adequately serve their customers).

And this serve like this, and you will get a 15%-20% tip 85% of the time (accounting for the fact that some people are just cheap, or just simply cant afford it)

I tipped the pizza guy a beer once because I looked in my wallet and realized I didn't have enough cash for a tip. He wasn't upset.

Bartenders should be the last ones bitching. Getting a buck for every beer you open? Lol. I understand mixers and people wanting good service but still.


Bartenders are the whiniest bitches about tipping. Oh no, I only made $50 in tips to go with my $20 pay for a 6 hour shift, the world is so hard!

Im confused by how hypocritical you are. All of your arguments have been everyone should be tipped, yet then you say that you have to earn your tip? Figure it out.

Tips must be earned. Earned simply means that you do your job as expected, which means a pleasant experience for the consumer. You have basically been saying that for crap service you still have to tip. Thats bullshit. Do your job well and you'll get tipped.

Also, if you are a pizza delivery person and you do not have enough singles to give proper change, dont expect me to be generous. I hate people who think that they can have only an amount of money where you have to tip way too much, or too little. I will tip you properly so dont get greedy.

the local general store stopped delivering to my school because some kid ordered a reeses cup and a 2L coke. she payed with exact change. also my school is isolated in the middle of butt-fuck shirt-tuck nowhere.

Um, then why not add a delivery charge. Either for certain area's or for everywhere depending on what they're feeling.


Pretty smart business practice to simply not deliver to a school because 1 person paid for something in exact change. People are brilliant though.

The argument about slow service is even pretty invalid in terms of tipping servers. I'm a waiter at a restaurant and make 2.50$ an hour. The cooks make like 20$ and then take mad long to make the food. I bring it out as soon as it's done, when food takes long it's rarely on me but my pocket usually gets hurt because of it while the cooks don't. Just keep that in mind next time you feel like giving a waiter a shit tip.

You should read my sig, as it deals with your perception of what you think I said. Maybe if you stopped trying to shoehorn my arguments into a single across-the-board rule you'd be a little less confused.

My stance on tipping is that yes, you do absolutely earn your tips in the caliber of service you provide. That said, there are a shitload of people who have NO IDEA how to tip properly for excellent service or how a restaurant works so it can be discouraging. If you get so-so service, you should ask yourself- "What made the service poor?" If it was a cook overcooking your meal (not the server's fault) and when that's handled perfectly by the server and you get another, cooked properly and quickly- that's actually good service regardless of what the back of the house did to your order but many people would tip less because the meal wasn't perfect.


There are a million reasons that people are cheap and very few of them are actually rooted in the server's performance. In general people are cheap, but go out to eat anyways.

I fail to see how this is a hypocritical opinion to hold, but hey, if slapping random labels on shit makes you feel better, then by all means tear it up brah.

I have worked many many different jobs and I have to say people that get stuck in the restaurant business seem to grow a serious sense of entitlement. Its not easy work ill give you that, I have been there. But its really not THAT bad, and frankly most servers really do make more than they deserve. Try working construction or digging ditches, shit there are plenty of tougher jobs that pay less.

Granted minimum wage really blows and servers should make more than that, so i do try and tip. But when servers complain about bad tips they sound like big old fat stinky pussies.

This is quite harsh, how about that same person who may be struggling just as much? Your pre juging the situation and what problems they may encounter. I'm not saying they shouldn't tip, but you should be more mindful

I dunno man I am a welder/shop manager and I couldn't hang in the restaurant biz. Too fkn stressful, ugh. Between dick managers and cheap asshole customers I had enough. People keep saying minimum wage though- I have no idea where they're getting that, as most servers make $2/hr or so and are absolutely countin on a tip.

Call them big old fat stinky pussies all you want, if I got 5% because you're entitled and cheap, I'd be fuckin pissed and probably get my lights shut off since taxes make my paycheck = 0.

I wish I had a dollar for every time a black family came into the steakhouse, ran me ragged, talked to me like I was a dog and then left me about $1 per person as a tip I could fucking retire and it's shit like that that ruins your day & makes you want to quit for a dependable paycheck.
