There was another thread i posted this in, but i figure it might help anyone else out that has a question between line and liberty... Ive supported both companies, and i dont have a bias, its just straight fact.
Lets give some quantitative reasons now.
Lets start with the biggest selling point.
Warranty: LINE, one year, and youll definitely need it.
Liberty, 3 years, yes three years. If anyone is offering 3 year warranty on ANYTHING, you know itll hold up.
Edges, LINE, skinny ass pieces of metal, less thick than floss.
Liberty, Rockwell edges, very burly and anchored deep into the ski.
Core, LINE, 'Aspen Macroblock Core - Super Lightweight' Note it says NOTHING to even encourage durablitly.
Liberty, 'Liberty Core - Aspen/Birch laminate core with Carbon fiber stringers to provide snap and flex while maintaining torsional rigidity necessary for edge grip. Carbon fiber also keeps the core light and strong while the wood gives it responsiveness and a solid feel.
Liberty Air Core - Liberty Core with the addition of a triaxial fiber wrap to provide impact resistance and durability in park skis. Creates a very light and durable core.'
(all the pro models including the chopper, stealth and reaper have the air core)
Ok, so base materials are generally the same, however LINE doesnt even mention their base material, so Liberty wins again with a Ptex 3000.
Hope this comparison will help anyone trying to make a purchase...
