It's not just the 5 guys. It says in the description that they bring friends with them on their trip. I know for sure that Khai Krepela came with Karl, I saw a video a couple weeks back that looked like Bobby was with Gus, Vinny and others and I doubt the other guys were going into the backcountry alone. Might not have the huge crew that most Poor Boys movies have, but definitely not just 5 guys

They did say "and more", although I have to agree with you, I can't imagine the other athletes being very impressive, based on the way they've done it that's all, but I'd happily be proven wrong.

Also jonny durst is working on this which is pretty cool, probably not gonna buy it though, wasn't impressed by WE, not sure why, but I'll wait to see what everyone says about it.

yeah man i can really tell how good the movie will be from the cover and the paragraph of text. i mean the guy on the cover does have his skis on! is this just a movie about walking around in ski boots?

The Wallisch project has one guy. Yeah it sound like the Stept part of their crew is gone. I think LJ and Sammy Carlson just filmed with Level 1. Not sure where Dane Tudor ended up. LOS probably just worked on their own thing. I kind of like that Poor Boyz is doing something different though. I'll be buying it for sure.

Poor Boyz is going to run themselves into the ground if they keep up at this rate.. That is the most unappealing cover art I have ever seen on a ski movie.

I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover, but first impressions do count. If it's anything like WE I am going to be thoroughly disappointed.

Dane dislocated his femur filming for his real snow segment, and didn't have enough footage stacked at that point to put together a segment for pbp.


Also I'll probably just to to a premier and not buy it

ok good call. most of my judgement is based on how awful WE was and how they seem to be getting worse each year. it just seems half assed.

Hate to admit it, but this.

The last PBP movie that I truly enjoyed was EDIAS. Something about them the last couple of years has just sucked. Grand Bizarre had a couple of sweet segments I guess, but it's pretty hard to fuck up if you have really sick footage.

I dont know, this looks like a really cool idea for a ski film, but we'll have to see how they put it together. Im probably gonna watch it, and if its good i might just buy it.

This movie is gonna have some great segments, but it is a terrible shame how much talent the crew has lost to injuries and other film projects and crews. The crew from Grand Bizarre was fucking insane and, even with sub-par editing and flow the movie was great.

After a season with very little information put out about this project, I now understand why. They seem to be scrambling to put this movie together. The industry is getting more competitive and I predict Poor Boyz will be left behind. As a long time fan of poor boyz, I just dont think they are as good to their fans as level 1 or many other crews are.


Yes, I am looking forward to buying this on iTunes, but it is far from the top of my list this season.

The skiing in We wasn't bad, it's the whole idea of skiing with your friends that I found pretty uninteresting and gay. Personnally, if you're gonna have talking in your movie, at least say something that we don't know and we'll find interesting, not "I like to ski with my friends it pushes myself to do new tricks", everyone knows that.
By reading the synopsis, I feel like the idea behind their new flick is as weak as the one for WE, and I'm afraid that it'll ruin the skiing.

I promise you the seg with karl and others in Detroit will be awesome. No other company has done anything like it before, so i think they will knock it out of the park.

I think the skiing itself is going to be incredibly good. But hopefully pbp will finally have a decent vibe this time. I'll definitely watch it just to find out.

Hopefully. It's a cool premise, and I hope they capture the sketch vibe of detroit at night. Other than that I can't say I'm very excited. PBP hasn't produced a good movie in quite a while.

They spent a great amount of time shooting in detroit this year. more than most other segments. And people who dont live here dont realize the character is has. its not comparable to boston, denver, etc. they hit too many historic landmarks and features that there is no way it wont be sick.

I feel like the seg with Karl in Detroit will be insane, but I agree that PBP hasn't produced a decent movie since EDIAS. Above all, IMO, PBP is heading in a totally different direction from the rest of the industry and it should be interesting to see what they come out with. Never know, it could be the movie of the year.

I can't understand how everyone's hating so hard already. Well... I guess I can, poorboyz hasn't done anything spectacular their last few go-rounds, but the fact that they're completely switching up their formula and steering away from their old one that has produced shitty movies has to be a step in the right direction.
I'm excited for this one... reasons why:
Finally there's not 30 different people in their movie
The few athletes that are in there are top notch, and they're bringing their friends along
New locations and new perspectives

Seriously? Revolver is one of the worst PBP movies. The movie was full of that casual PBP-bs talking scenes (''Skiing is fun'', ''The sport has progressed so much'', ''Skiing is freedom'', ''I like skiing with friends''). There we're so many shots of the same features that I think the movie could have been like 5-10 minutes shorter. And they topped it off with a mostly awful soundtrack that includes 9 electronic songs and coastin'. Fucking coastin'.

But that's just your opinion so whatever.

Tom Wallisch was one guy... but I guess he's so good he counts as 6.
Also, The idea of the movie with the trip thing sounds like a good idea, but I think it's going to be really bad. The Grand Bizarre was great, but WE was bad and I think Poor Boyz has lost their place as being one of the top production companies.
