Well here we go again. The season begins August 18th, but there's still plenty going on in the meantime!


Transfer season is in full swing, with various sources reporting everything under the sun with absolutely no basis.

And seemingly every team is going on tour of somewhere, because evidently teams like Norwich need to bolster their support in places like southern California and Malaysia.


Will Manchester United keep the title?
Will Manchester City not be a mess?
Will Chelsea's Jose Mourinho get himself sacked by Christmas?
Will Arsenal be stuck waiting another season to win a trophy?
Will Tottenham finally get a champions league spot?

Here's to a hopefully entertaining season with plenty of great action leading up the BRAZIL 2014!

Bullshit it didn't happen. Pictures, videos, and witness accounts don't lie. Got relatives who were there and told me first hand.

It's nothing new with Chelsea. It's just an unfortunate minority of the fans.

fuck what a game. when Schurlle and Oscar hit the post within a minute of each other my heart sank and i started thinking this wouldn't be our night. this is a team that for ~10 years refuses to lie down though in games like this.

bummed dortmund didn't go through would have liked to play them

Not a fan of the away goals rule, but today clearly showed that Chelsea has the experience at that stage that psg lacks.

Still though. Look out for psg in the future.

United totally switched off after their goal and it killed them. Bayern are beatable you just have to stay focused defensively and hit them on the counter. They could be in for a pantsing no matter who they play next round. I can't wait to see them trying to play eight midfielders in the last third with only Dante and Boateng defending, the second they lose the ball good fucking luck against Bale/Cristiano/Benzema - Hazard/Schurlle/Willian/Ramires - Villa/Costa and whoever else is on that Atletico team (haven't seen them much).

Without a reliable go to striker, I think Chelsea have to be considered the weakest team left in the CL, and if Atletico continue to play as well as they have been, they can definitely make it to the final, or even go all the way and win the thing.

I love this how Chelsea and Mourinho are complaining they don't have a striker. Trying supporting Arsenal...I wanna like Giroud but after watching the bayern game and how hard Mandzukic woked on defense as well as offense, it only supported my thoughts on him as a player. If Arsenal don't buy one next window, nothing will change and they will continue to be mediocre.

Right now Chelsea don't have a striker playing than Giroud. Even if they do have bigger names.

Can you name a striker Chelsea have right now who they can rely on to play consistently well week in and week out? If you can name one, you're seeing something the rest of the world isn't.

But, yes, Wenger should sack up and spend some money on a striker. Especially now that Arsenal aren't paying off the Emirates anymore.

Yeah I agree. The other teams have so much firepower that even with our stellar defence it will be tough, definite underdogs.

It will be amazing if Chelsea wins anything this season. I don't think they have a single player with over 15 goals - City, Liverpool and most of the big CL clubs have several.

CL semi finals

Real Madrid v Bayern Munich

Atletico Madrid v Chelsea

RM vs BM will be a crazy game and certainly one to watch so much attacking talent on show. i feel this should have been the final as they are the top 2 teams left in the comp.

AM vs C will be interesting because they both have such a good defensive record. plus the added heat of the Courtois situation and that mou has never lost to AM before.

this could make for an interesting final as well. if chelsea and go through we have mou vs pep his arch rival or mou and ancelotti vs their former clubs. or we could have a madrid derby in the final!!

Very interesting ties.

Bayern-Real Madrid will be a full on shoot out. Both have often shaky defenses (Bayern doesn't have to defend as much though cause of so much possession) + so much attacking talent. I think this tie will depend on how fit and in form Ronaldo is + if Bale can have a big game.

Chelsea-Atleti The two best defenses in the tournament. There's also this whole Courtois stupidity about whether he can or will play.

Arsenal vs hull city in the FA cup final.

Was hoping for Sheffield for their sake. Always fun when a team gets a once in a lifetime trip to a Wembley final, even if they get destroyed.

I dunno, maybe I don't watch City enough, but I've never thought of Kompany as thug. His positioning is better than most defenders.

Regardless, yeah, he messed up. Still, a very nice finish by Coutinho. At this point I really hope Liverpool win the league. Gerrard deserves at least one.

haha well the funny thing is it was PSG ultras who came at (provoked) Chelsea, fighting lasted no longer than 90 seconds, no arrests. couldn't have been that bad could it? this was all confirmed by french police btw

Chelsea has a history of bad fan behaviour but many clubs do and whatever still exists is very minor. its annoying when people will straight make shit up as a way to bag on the CLUB

Absolute HOWLER by V. Mannone in the MCFC game today. They should have lost. Gives Liverpool some breathing room, but not much.

Btw, Bale had a fantastic solo goal today in the Copa del Ray game. Absolute fantastic strong run

That Bale goal was insane. How far he got pushed off the ball I wask like damn counter attack over...wait it Bale...holy fucking shit jets on. Pinto should have done better though, same as the first goal - he is terrible. Also that Neymar miss at the end daaaaaamn. Nice to see a clasico go off for once without some stupid bullshit red card drama.

And City tying means that if Chelsea or Liverpool win out they will win the league.

Rogers, Martinez, and Pulis all are a tough choice. Rogers has done so much with such an inexperienced team.

I'm an Everton fan and even I think it should be Rogers or Pulis. Martinez took a mid-table team and made them top 4, but Rogers is accomplishing the near-impossible and Pulis is accomplishing the impossible.

Fair enough, though I think if you rewound to when Pulis took over at Palace you would have said no chance they are staying up let alone the fact they could conceivably finish 10th. Then again, I guess then you would have said there was no chance Liverpool could win the league either. Both have done an outstanding job, as has Martinez.
