All the above mentioned ideas are good except for one fact. They'd all come off after a run or two. That's why you iron on wax. It gets into the pores and stays on your skis for a few days depending on conditions.

i think u should just wax the rail rather than using various food products none of which would probably work better than or even as good as wax.....teh only good one was bacon fat and thats just cuz it gives u an excuse to make more bacon.....mmmmm
