Hey, I really wouldn't reccomend painting your bindings. There's a possibility that the paint could corrode the plastic on the binding. Also if paint got into any of the mechanical areas of the binding, there's a risk that the binding wouldn't be able to function properly, really something you don't want to chance. You may also have a hard time trying to find a shop to mount them for you once you've painted them. Due to the nature of kind of things that happen when your bindings fuck up, shops don't tend to like to mount bindings which have been messed with.
Dying comes with the same issues as painting. You dont know what the dye is doing to the mechanics of the binding or the integrity of the plastic. Bindings arent to be fucked with. Just accept you have dull coloured bindings or buy new, suitable bindings.
rit dye doesnt affect the structure of plastic, and its basically just water, so alsong as you wash it out after dying dont see how its gona damage any insides of the bindings the same way they are if they get wet in a pond skim or a slushy day
