Apology to kid at Sugarloaf

I was in the park and my friend landed a new trick, I was stoked and went down to congratulate him off to the side of the knuckle of the next jump. Being the gaper that I am, I went to traverse the knuckle underneath the jump to the side my friend was on. Obviously this is not ok, I wasn't thinking at all. When I checked uphill I couldn't see a kid who was on the backside of the jump and I went ahead and skied across the knuckle. The kid cleared my head by a good inch.

Anyway, I am sincerely sorry. I know I made a mistake.

Agreed about what Bishop was saying though! Where's the love? I always loved lapping the park with random people you'd meet with twins. Met so many cool people that way, many of them I've known for over a decade and still stay in touch or see them every now and then. Plenty of them I met through NS as well. Stop trying to be so damn cool and just have fun, get over the ego and ski.

I have a real question. When you see someone eat shit in the landing, and they cannot move, how can you help them and make people not hit the jump at the same time? Can you stick your poles on the lip, or what?

Usually if there's another skier on the knuckle they should make a cross with poles or arms, I believe.

The same thing happend to me except that i caught an edge skiing away from a rail (I was like 15 feet away from it) and this kid goes of the lip to the rail, lands like 20 ft away from me, showers me in snow, and tells me to fucking move even though i was nowhere near him. And when my friend told him that he was over reacting he called him a fucker. Some people just suck.

Sugarloaf, two weekends from now, gaper day weekend. Lets get a squad going, anyone called out has to ski with the group for the rest of the day. Wear your most gaper and retro outfits and prepare to make lots of questionable decisions.

Then we should do it again because Sunday I skied by and they were re-roping and shoveled some snow off the hut. It'd be cool if we got some snow back on and had a little gap session until an escape from ski patrol is needed to be made

Have a check-in section on NS. A list of mountains to choose from, split up like the regional forums, select your mountain, and click check-in. You are then added to a timestamped list of NSers at that mountain for the day. You can check in and see who else on the site has check-ed in, set up alerts for other users check-ins maybe? Im not a web developer so i have no idea if this is possible or efficient, but it sounded cool in my head.

everybody makes mistakes man, i had a close one in the park that was my fault the other week, got reamed out by a park crew guy pretty bad, pretty embarrassing because i coach in that park on the weekends, but i let it slide.

So this might be an odd idea, might have been tried before, I don't know.

Could be a different part of the page that is titled "Where are you skiing" or something of the like. In some way there is a way to kind of RSVP to a hill for the day. Time and place to meet up if wanted. Each mountain has its own little section with like a google calendar or something.

Completely true, for real CVA kids are mad down to earth, the staff might be a little more uptight, but the kids are trill as fuck. CVA kids know what having fun is, while all you fags are bitching about them being preppy douchebags theyre skiing and having fun.
