Underage drinking on survallience cameras

To start off, I live in Washington State.
Basically this girl had about 10 people over to her house when her parents went out of town. Her dad is a ex cop or detective and had a few survallience cameras at the house. 2 of which are inside. She tilted up the main camera which was where people were drinking so instead it looked into the kitchen. Parents come home and watch the footage and see a few of my buddies in the kitchen with beers. We receive a text from her saying that her dad is going to talk to the prosecuting attorney and were all going to get in trouble with minor in consumptions. She of course ratted out everyone's names to her dad to try and cover her ass from getting in trouble. Just wondering if anyone had this experience and can comment or knows the law better than I do? (Cause I don't know where this falls under)

ONe more thing I don't think anyone has addressed. Did you guys cause any damage to the house? That is the ONLY way I can see you getting in any trouble

Yeah haha but their handling it like their daughter is that age haha. No damage on the house at all. Hopefully I should find out today since that's when he's supposedly meeting.

you're chillin man. I would preemptively apologize to the cop, but since it was his house its just as much his fault as yours. (unless you were drinking in the house against the will of the girl... which she might try and pull).

I'm not sure where you live in WA, but I'm from Seattle and every time I've had an encounter with the cops, it goes fine as long as you tell the truth and be respectful.

dude my parents play this fucking game everytime i get in trouble. its honestly just scare tactics to make sure you wont do it again. the dad wont do shit cuz he'll probably get more fucked than the rest of you. seeing as he is an ex-cop he is probably just being a big tool and making a big ass scene to scare the out of you from doing it again. plus unless they can identify the can/bottle they aint got shit unless youre holding a handle. then you could hav evidence on you

ALSO do not talk to this girl about it! at all! the dad can use messages sent to her as proof that you were drinking if you admitted it to the girl. same goes with phonecalls. if this dad is as crazy as he seems he probably has that bitches phone wired. just some advice

Yup. As the property owner, he is responsible for anything that goes on in his house even when he isn't there. Defense attorney will say that he made an environment in which these activities were deemed acceptable. Also, ignoring that, charges are still unlikely if no one narcs, because then all they have is video showing circumstantial evidence. You would have to look the camera directly, state your name, and then state that you were drinking etc. Even when someone narcs, it is likely the worst you could get is a weekend of community service if you have a clean record, and this is still ignoring the first part about how the dad pretty much has to be bluffing.

you could actually get him in trouble for allowing underage drinking in his house(thats how it is where is live in ohio) if he doesnt have proof you were there then deny it if theres no proof dong worry bout it

Oh yea and tell your parents. The chicks dad is most likely going to tell them anyway so its better if it comes from you and you get to put your own spin on the story.
