compound tib fib, straight shooting a shoot at Alta. fibula baiscly exploded. docs said it was one of the worst breaks he'd seen. they couldn't believe i was walking (not well) after 3.5 months

In one crash, i fractured my skull by my left ear, Shattered my patella in somewhere between 30 and 50 pieces... it's not a big bone to start, so it was pretty much a powder after that... they wired it together and now its a little bigger and my leg is still weak (happened last season.)

But i'm goin again this season

In one crash:

Snapped humerus underneath rotator cuff. (Second thickest bone in the body, snapped in half.)
Snapped lower bone in thumb.

Shoulder Jobby = 1 plate, six screws, 1 sponge bath
Thumb Jobby = 3 pins, alot of yanking
Shoulder+Thumb = in a bed for 3 months

i had a rope wrap around my neck once when i did a huge rope swing. had the burn around 3/4 of my neck. took all the skin off

holy shit i got nothin compared to that. Knee to face while wakeboarding split my eyebrow all jagged wide open and the bridge of my nose wide open like 14 stiches. first day after i got the stiches out i went riding the same day, first fall of the day and my board hit me in the head and i had to get more stiches (9 i think)...i wore a helmet for the rest of the summer.

broke my upper arm bone(forget what its called) in the growth plate last year skiin pipe. i decked out and fell the almost 20' to the flat bottom where i landed on my shoulder...thank god not my head.

hey raoul, when you were getting all stiched up did the doc ever just like... prod you skull? cause i hate to get a whole bunch of stiches on my forehead once and the bastard sitching me up just goes in there like a fuckin fisherman with no painkillers and stuff, worst pain ive ever felt.... only for a moment but still.

so you guys know 'hot-dog hill' at okemo? yea so the first rail i ever did on skis, i straight-lined it and aired onto the 6 foot long rail sliped back and broke my wrist. i lay there while some mini skiers laughed at me. was the low-point of skiing carrer.

so i am skiing with my girlfriend ali, and her and i decide to go down the pipe, it was like 5 years ago, and ofcouse i eat shit just going into the pipe, i lay there for awhile. like every1 is boarding around me, ski partol is up at the top of the pipe smoking a cig, ya know just chilling, so i am like whatever i'll just ski down. so i am skiing down moonshine (in beaver creek colorado) ski down daily.. takes forever, go inside and take my boots off, then get carried to the hospital by a ski instructor friend. turns out i tor all the ligaments in my ancle and fractored through the growth plate (didn't cry once caus ei didn't want my friend ali to make fun of me..), went through3 days of physical therapy BEFORE they found the break, went through 3 different casts on my ancle in 3 months, was never off cruches in the 3 monthes. and it was all together my 2nd time breaking that ancle. it was cute..

it was new years that day, so i sent new years at home crying cause i was in so much pain from the swelling. oh and went skiing the day after i got my 3rd cast off for spring break

i was landing fakie, edge slipped out and i fell at that one funky angle that can fuck anything up, broke my collar bone. i skied like 3 more runs and then figured that the grinding in my shoulder when i tried to move it was probably a bad thing... oh and this was christmas eve. and i broke my thumb sometime later, somehow

hmmmm, i sprained my thumb 8 times last winter,it was pretty much always sprained,tore 3 ligaments in my wrist,and 2 seasons ago i got a concussion so bad that i forget all math and everything that happened that day and the week before, (seriously)

Crash 1- 2 broken ribs, deflated lung, and internal bleeding.
Crash 2- almost bit my tiongue off. a drop at Vail, closed up the next day.

chronologically:

6th grade.
managed to go a little off piste to the side of the trail, ended up putting skis under a snowmaking pipe, while i went over. cracked right tib/fib --> cast for months.

9th grade.
super bowl sunday, resort is a sheet of ice. hit massive sheet of ungroomed ice = fucked. doing about 60mph on my ass, hit a snowmaking tower, bounced, hit trees/rocks/other shit..... (i really don't remember what i hit, but it sucked) snapped femur clean in two, tore ACL, and couldn't make any sense of anything for about a week. titanium rod, pin, 8 inch scar on hip.


somewhere in there is all the broken thumbs/fingers, knuckles and i think i cracked a rib jamming a pole into my chest, but i never got that one checked out. and somehow i've never had a concussion?

I was 10 and the day bfore my birthday I was playing around with my stepdad so I went to hide in the bathroom and held on both sides of the door, the one where the joints are too, so my stepdad opened the door to get me and I had 2 cm of one finger that got cut off and were hanging loose by a piece of skin, pretty gross,so my freaked out mom drove me to the hospital and they stitched it back on but it hurt cuz the thing that makes your limb asleep didnt go thru the finger so I could feel the needle.
Fun times :)

Crystal, yes there was prodding, the most painful part was when they washed it out by dousing my face with antiseptic and scouring my wound with a washcloth. That was way more painful than any stitches with or without lytocane. To this day I wonder why they didn’t numb me up for that part. when I cracked my head open I had to be woke up every half hour to make sure I didnt die in my sleep or somthing. For the record the most painful stitching experience was in my fingertips (machete + beehive and flailing limbs) so many nerve endings. Ah hell since I’m on it I will tell all my stitches stories.
1. 6yrs old playing “ghost� with a blanket over my head, get my ass kicked by a coffee table. Stitches in eyebrow.
2 the default kid on the playground falls and splits his chin.
3. Pillow fight. Sliced by zipper on pillow case, stitches over other eye.
4. New Years Eve. Back flip into hotel pool, stitches on head just above forehead.
7. Machete incident. Stitches on 3 partially severed fingers.
6&7. Wakeboarding unpleasantness summer 03 as noted in above post.
have never blown a knee or boken any major bones(knock on wood)

I broke my femur hitting a kicker over a cat track gap. Basicly what happened was I wasn't expecting such a transition at the jump and got thrown in the backseat. I landed on the knuckle with my back tips hitting first. Snapped mt left femur clean.

this one time i was cork 10-ing a 20 ft spine and i overshot it by like 30 or so ft and landed on a rail further down the park, i was fine though, after i got up i caught an edge on an acorn and shattered my left and right leg. it was all good though, no pain no gain, im still recovering... from the anal sex i had the night before

Jons accompolishments 1998-2004

1. 4 concussions trying 900s in 1 month

2. bridged over a rail backwards trying switch on broken L1 vert (skied 3 weeks later)

3. Dislocated ELBOW doing cork 5 off of trampoline flew 10 feet in the air got too corked and landed upside down i put my arms down to break the fall, got up and brushed my shoulders off and then realized that my left elbow was 2 inches behind my arm. my entire arm was black and blue and orange for 2 months. and when u touched my forearms u would leave indents in the muscle.

4. compound fracture to the femur. top half of the bone killed my hamstrings and itb, bottom half of the bone blew my quadracept apart and petruded from my thigh and fucked up my knee from the massive blow. then later in surgury they cut half of my right ass cheek out to put a titanium rod into my femur with 2 huge screws, one at the knee and one at the hip. NO CAST!! also at the same time i got a severe ankle sprain, broken neck c-1, and a fractured right wrist. the surgeon told me i wouldnt be recovered for 12-18 months. a week in the hospital, 2 weeks in bed, and the third week i took my first steps, i was walking around burlington without crutches at 4 weeks. and i skied opening day at killington tuesday 7 months and 20 days after the accident. yuppppppppppppp

going for something in the pipe (i forget) my ski popping off in mid-trick and falling to the bottom of the tranny. i then fall ,back first, onto the newly sharpened edge of my ski from about 10 feet up onto bare skin cuz my shirt got hiked up. i got a nice 10 inch long gash across my back and the worst pain imaginable. it was pretty rad tho blood everywhere and it stained the pipe for like the next 3 days.

i was riding a latter with a down part which was a 2 by 4 out in these woods near ware i live and i wasn't going fast enough on the 2 by 4, front tire went over and i faced planted onto these logs. the part i fell from was about 3 1/2 feet off the ground then plus my bike i fell from aobut 6-6 1/2 feet

torn ACL is definitly the worst, but I disclocated my shoulder which was really bad.. and it just kkeps popping out so its probably the most permanent ... and I seperated my shoulder so thats shoulder is completly wrecked.. and I broke my back last year so all those add up in one season... this year Im not going to get injured though!

oh yea^^ 30-40 stiches. took my right front tooth out then put it back in. 6 root canals. i cut my vestibule and when you would pull my lip out you could see my jaw bone.
