I turned 14 in July and I weigh 105, I am 5'3 but I am supposed to grow another 3-5 inches in the next two years according to my physician. I ski mainly terrain but some mountain. I like to hit jumps anywhere from 10 to 25 foot gaps. I can 360, do grabs, and I am learning inverted aerials. I also like to slide boxes and flat rails. I need help choosing the right ski. I was looking at the line chronic skis in size 164. Would this be the right size for me due to my growth spurt? Also are they the right ski for my type of riding style. Should I go see my local ski and sport shop? Please help!
I demoed the 2014 Chronic yesterday and today. I'm about 6' and 160 pounds and the 178 was perfect for me, the 164 sounds about right for you. However you'll probably want something longer in a few years when you've grown. You can't really get a ski to last a long time at your age. They're amazing skis, btw. They carve pretty well and are nice in the air.The Chronics and K2 Recoils are my favourites that I demoed.
