Filing Edges

After I get mine back from service I usually just file a steel pole or something with the edge part under the binding... like reverse-file it, so it will have the same effect as if I slid a lot of rails.

If you let it happen naturally thenit will probably take a bit longer but in the end you'll have the same result, I'd recommend you to let it happen naturally if you like skiing allmountain, if it's really just for the park then you might want to do something to the under-binding-part of your edges...

definitely hit your edges with a gummy stone after doing a ton of rails. it will de-burr them, and make them smoother. this also helps prevent edge cracks, and catching your edges. you can do some light filing under foot on each edge if you want, it doesnt really affect your skiing, it just makes them slide smoother.

and moderately detune underfoot (~18-24"). After you get some burrs and stuff, then use a stone (or lightly file) them out.

I have a gummy stone now, but before I got it for christmas, I had to basically rub my skis along a curb to detune them. It worked enough that I didn't die, but rails were still weird for a while.
