i own a pair of the 2nd yrs line skis, the orange 1260s w/djs, they are 100% symetrical and rediculasly soft, real nice for butters but thats about it

my friend still rides his orange 12s. I've seen the origanal Otnesses (spelling) at Fred's Freeride in killington when it was there. they were mint condition.

they had origonal dragons up until last year at a shop around here. the old lines were sweet lookin, but werent very durable. the white/dj 1260s were the coolest ski ever, short, soft, and 100 semetrical. very cool idea.







in science class i sat down to fast and you know how you can sit on your balls. well i did and i sat down really fast and crushed them and right when i sat down i started puking and fell out of my chair. they teacher laughed. i felt like i could pass out i wanted to die.-*NWFT*nUkkA

I still use original skogens as my park skis, they're pretty fucked up but they're still sweet, plus still have one of my favorite graphics of all time

yeah, last year you could get oldschool darksides on getboards for like 200. those grey ones, with black sidewalls. ps, best graphic EVER right there. i totally forgot about the old darksides.

I ordered a pair of blemish Ostnesses years ago. But... and here where the story turns to absolute SHIT... I was living in Ontario and Line would only ship to the U.S., so I got them to ship themto my mom who was living in California. So Naturally I was physced, as I was getting some brand-new Line Ostnesses for only 150usd, plus shipping. But then my Mom called and told me that she got the stuff I ordered, a couple shirts and a backpack as well, and that she had send them to me, but that she sent the skis back to Line! I was fucking pissed, my long, twin-tip, Ostness-influenced, and one day lengendary skis where gone because my mom, who skis about once every three years, thought they were of poor quality! Ski thought that since cap constructiopn was the new big thing in 1990, all new skis used it, and so sent back the Lines because they were sandwich contruction! Of course, what she didn't realize was that all skis that don't totally suck cock are built with sandwich construction. And... line never paid the money back... so no money, so Lines, no first Line Skis ever made, no Ostness skis (who was on of my favorite skiers then), no 193cm skis (I'm 6'4'')... no nothing at all but this shitty story... JACKSHIT

And yeah, I'm still raw about it, three years later.

THE WHITE TWELVES ARE SOOOOO DOOOE, so are the black ostnesses and the grey darksides...those are the best ski graphics of all time!!!! you have no idea

TAK, call levinthal and ask maybe if he's got a pair of ostnesses anywhere...also Boston ski market had a pair of the ollld BLACK ones with the gold writing( some seriously sick skis) but you could try to give them a call, actually i'm calling for something tommorrow so i'll ask for you

I am selling my Original 1260's (the white ones) to someone on this site and it is really hard to let them go. They really are the dopest graphics of ay ski I have ever seen. Whenever I am on the hill witht them someone will come up and ask me what kind of skis they are. A lot of these people are riding lines themselves. It is pretty cool to own a piece of skiing history.

i went to a ski sawp a few weeks back cuz you never know when you'll find something fun or cool or whatever and they had some old darksides that were really over priced and than in the corner I found original white 1260s with salomon bindings for 10 bucks! they had been bean to shit obviously became someones urban skis but yeah they are super soft center mounted and symetrical its so progressive even for todays standards. Also i think its a testement to LINEs construction adn quality that they are still ridable and have not delamed!

I ride the first darksides now, got them at the getboards sale mentioned above new last summer. I rode the white 1260's for 3 seasons before that (about 120 days total), and they're beat to shit. They delaminated minorly after I overshot a 50' table, but I just put a bolt through it and rode them for the rest of the season, and my buddy rode them yesterday at copper (I was on my darksides). Before that I rocked the Mick Nick skiboards.
