I've always wondered how people can ski this many days. Does it take years of conditioning to get your body in shape to ski that many days? Between the muscle use and injuries from progressing in the park, I could never see myself doing more than 30 days a year unless I don't care about progressing.
Yeah, I go to the gym lots in the summer, and I 've prob averaged about 120-190 days a year, for the last 28, seasons. I guess your body gets used to the abuse. I ski about 65/ 35 all mountain/ park. Progrssion. I don 't know that 's for someone else to judge, but I'm pretty sure I'm having more fun than most. And I checked today, I'm at 109 days for the season.
if it wasnt for sure like student loans, finding a new job to pay rent, haveing to buy a car since i only use public transport now( with the 0 moneys i have)....etc i would have done it 2 years ago-not as easy as it sounds
Well good for you, I am insanely jealous. I'm hoping to move out to Denver for work once I finish up grad school this May on the East Coast. So sick of this short East Coast season.
i'm probably at ~25 days so far including a few weekend tours.
not as many as i was hoping for but it was a real busy semester. still, skiing's to be had practically year round where i'm at so hopefully i can bring it up to 35-40 by may.
78 so far with a month left.
Then I've tore my leading-string in my knee, crushed my hip and yesterday broke my collarbone.
Hopefully I can get some more days in. Filming in a sling and ski groomers shouldn't be that bad.
