Help Hitting Rails Switch

I can do a few things on rails now. But everytime I try to hit it switch it not the same. I feel like I can't pop or spin the same? Any good tips?

Can you hit a jump switch? It's still solid snow, you can pop and spin just fine. It's in your head man, what's happening?

i dont know this joke.

anyway i find sliding unnaturally on rails is easier if you are going up to said rail switch.

Something that realy helped me was to get on the kicker with my ski on for 30 sec and just positionning myself with the right distance from the rail and the right angle. Then take a second to visualize where you'll land on the rail and feel how you'll pop. Then all you have to find is the right speed.

If you rotate fast then practice switch 270 on.. I can do them easier than regular switch on

Go faster than you would go forward. I don't care who you are, you can't pop as high or spin as fast switch.

I have the same problem, I think it's because to slide with your natural foot forward you have to spin unnaturally if you're taking off switch. I would suggest hitting boxes switch alot and get really comfortable with it then take it to rails.

just keep hitting them switch and it will get more comfortable, it just takes practice.

Make sure you pop more than you think you should, and keep your skis parallel to the rail when approaching the jump. I know those were the issues I was struggling with when I started hitting rails switch.

i spin left, but try looking over your opposite shoulder when hitting rails switch. to learn, i just practiced speed checking and shit looking over my right shoulder. i like to spin right when im going switch onto rails so i can land right foot forward. also just be patient, get some speed and don't pop too early. honestly once you can ski switch over both shoulders hittin any rail shouldnt be a problem. that being said when i hit jumps switch i always look/spin left, and rails i usually look/spin right so its personal preference to a point.

Make sure to pop and wait before you spin the 90 or more. Being as you can't see as easily I remember one of my biggest problems used to be kind of spinning on the lip wich doesn't get you centered on the rail and I sometimes just missed it entirely.
Just remember the basics of keeping the rail in between your legs, popping, and waiting until you're in the air before you turn.
