Replying to T3i Display Help?

Bart.Man:
I have a t3i and as of a few weeks ago, when I switch to live view while in any of the manual modes (M,Av,Tv,P) there are two vertical, thick dark blue lines on the sides of the screen, a little bit inward from the edges (no, this is not the grid display). This doesn't happen in video capture mode or in any of the auto modes, but that doesn't help much as I never use any of the auto modes (not claiming, just saying). The lines also appear in playback mode over the image. They don't appear if the image was captured using the viewfinder. I googled it to no avail, checked the user manual with no results. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone even have an idea of what the issue might be?

Any help is much appreciated, and as always, +k
