* Kinda disturbing picture below alert *
So couple days ago I too had the chance to experience this horrible feeling of thumb jam. I overrotated and corked a mute 7, damaging both my thumbs on impact.
Left thumb was dislocated at the second joint and right thumb was luckily intact but is really sore and red-blue from bruising.
I got my dislocated thumb back in place and in a cast after 2 hours of waiting. I felt no pain the first day, but the second day was agonizing because of the swelling in the cast. Third day was almost normal, but the casted thumb and right sore thumb are real annoyance in everyday life, I feel so limited, fuckk..
7 days left to cast removal. And to fully heal, takes couple weeks more. I'll be back skiing, just I won't be using poles anytime soon and even then I will chuck them at any sign of potential failure.
The thumb bones were almost side by side, it was a very surreal experience, 100% would not recommend..
