Craziest Gondola/Chair Experience

Riding in the gondola at Vail about 10 years ago with my friends, a dad, and his two kids. Gondola silent until the 5 year old kid looks at me and says:

"My little brother died in my mom's belly"

Certainly not a funny situation, but I was laughing uncontrollably the rest of the ride. Thanks for being honest kid.

pissed out of the side of a gondola going down that was facing the gondolas going up. it was late afternoon so almost nobody was going up so i wasn't scared of seeing anybody. Out of the blue you see a gondola go up that is loaded with asians, like probably 14 tourists, all watching as i pee. Most awkward eye contact i've ever made in my life.

2 of my friends and I get on a 4 man lift with a sketchy looking single rider.

Fifty feet up the lift, the guy asks any of us if we work here, and we all reply with a yes because we were instructors off duty. He then proceeds to get this moderately worried look on his face, and my friends and I just share a look. His next question is that if we were cool, and we all were kind of baffled at that point of why he was asking us this. Our reply though, was another yes.

The man proceeds to pull out a McDonald's bag from his coat, and we are all just sitting there watching him. From his pocket, he pulls out a rolled piece of paper and I just kind of think to myself, "Cool, this guys going to smoke a joint, this isn't a big deal." He has this plastic toy bag that someone probably threw out and proceeds to unwrap it and my friends all kind of share the same thought; Damn, this guy has to have some rolling skills to do this on a windy chair. I took a second glance at the rolled piece of paper and realized it was a 20 dollar bill, and just thought to myself, "Why the fuck would he want to smoke out of a 20?" Before I could answer my own question, this guy shoves the twenty into the bag, bends down, and snorts a huge fucking amount of coke. My friends and I are all sharing the same glance and thinking "Is this really happening or is this some sick prank?"

The remainder of the chair ride we all just sit there in silence as this guy beside us is twitching to no end, and as we got off we all just busted out laughing, we had no self control anymore. Easily the funniest/most absurd thing that has ever happened to me on a chair and I really doubt much will come close. It's not everyday you see a guy snorting coke on the chair on a Friday night.

I sat next to two black guys smoking cigarettes and riding snowblades. One proceeded to take out a folded up copy of the times and they read it together.

A guy jumped off the lift. Well not a guy, it was a little kid, I was riding on the quad and it was him and his friend, and the friend dared him to, so he did. He broke both of his legs and a wrist. I lost.

The power went out a couple of days ago and i sat on the lift for about 45 min. The worst part was it was windy, cold, and i was 50 yards away from the top

Dropped a pole once... It landed on a snow gun but no big deal, it hit the top and didn't go in.

I held on to a 6 year old kid that was dangling off the lift for a solid ten minutes with his stupid fucking mom yelling in my ear, having a panic attack, and in no way helping to stop her "precious baby" from falling fifteen feet to the ground. Eventually ski patrol made a circle and caught the kid.

Similar Experience:
My brother and I were skiing together and rode up with this old dude and a kinda sketchy snowboarder. The entire ride, the snowboarder was talking some nonsense about how closed areas that were clearly just exposed rock fields should be opened up. We just kinda laughed at him the whole time and didn't think much of it.

We got off the lift and skied down to the bottom of the same lift. The same snowboarder got on the lift with us, this time it was just us and him. He was a bit quieter this time and then pulled a little eyedropper out of his pocket. he offered it to us asking "do you want to try some LSD?" followed by "this is the good stuff, Tiger's Blood." We declined and spent the rest of the chair ride with him explaining to us how it worked and how great it was.

what is the longest you have been stuck on a lift? Ive only been stuck for about a half hour. Wasn't that bad- just stretched out across the chair and pumped my tunes.

i was skiing with a few friends of mine and our my friends mom was gonna pick us up on the back side of the mountain but we were skiing on the front. They ended up closing down the mountain from wind control. Us not thinking his mom could just pick us up on the other side, begged the guy to let us take the lift to the top to ski down to the other side and he let us. It was so windy we all almost fell off multiple times. Scariest experience of my life lol.

Last year at SR a guy who i rode the lift with offered to sell me weed and when i asked him how much he had, he pulled out a half pound, and i proceeded to listen to his life story about how he became a dealer

This little kid falls of the lift like 20 feet before we get off and his mom skis down and was like "Get up lets go" and the little kid was fucked up...pretty scary and the moms a d-bag too

And you know that she was shooting dope? If it was cute snowboarder girl, chances are that she prob has diabetes and hast to take her insulin. My sister has juvenial diabetes, meaning that its not from eating bad. She has to shoot up every time she eats. You know how many odd stares she has received? One time at the mall food court, some lady shouted out to her "go do your drugs somewhere else!" To which I replied back for my sis "she's a fucking diabetic you fat cunt" which she was....cool rant there huh? weed is a hell of a drug

similar to the other story - goign up the chair at snowpark I was riding up with this kid who was ripping the park, we got a chatting and he was from Auckland. next thing I know he's snorttin come coke off his finger nail. he continued to shred the rest of the day. whatever works I guess.
