Manziel will probably get it. Although I really don't know if his skill will hold up when he gets to the pros. A lot of "hot" playing college players have crashed and burned in the NFL: Tebow, Leinart, Sanchez, etc. But I suppose you also need to take into account those that have been doing well: RGIII, Luck, etc. We'll have to wait and see.

I hope this is the case. Honestly I think braxton miller is the most exciting player in college football right now though.. unfortunately they cant go to the national championship so that wont happen

I don't think Manti T'eo deserves it honestly. He played great, but didn't make great game-changing plays like Manziel or have any real big wins.

T'eo just happened to be on a Notre Dame team having a good year, and so he got nominated as a result of their team's success. I guess we'll see how they do when they play a real SEC powerhouse in Alabama.

I mean, he's a freshman. assuming he finished his college career, he could be damn good. But, playing in the NFL straight from college is hard and stupid IMO. Good qbs have a few years of transition first ie Rodgers.

Te'o had a good year and will probably be a top 3 draft pic, but other defensive players have had good years like him and not won it. Plus Manziel beat tebow and cam newtons records...as a freshmen, keep in mind both of them won the heisman when they originally set those records. I dont see how he wouldnt deserve it.

and Klien, well good for him on a decent year, but its easy to put up numbers like that in the big 12 against shitty defenses. If he played in the sec like manziel, he wouldnt have even made the all sec second team roster.

I saw Klein play in person.

Kid is a beast he ran like an RB litereally ran between the tackles unlike Manziel or even Tebow/Newton could. My Iowa State Cyclones would have beaten KSU if he wasn't so good.

Unfortunately he lost a lot of heat off his fastball with the concussion. Up until that point he did play the QB position like a running back who could throw a little. And his team was the best.

I hope he gets a shot in the NFL. Big kid he was much bigger than Teo or Manziel standing next to them.

Luck, RG3, and Wilson are just rookies. Just because they're having a good year doesn't mean they'll continue to be great players in the future. Once defensive coordinators spend the offseason really looking at tape they may find ways to break those players down ie. Cam Newton who is sucking this year.

That being said I do think they'll end up having good careers, but you can't yet say they're successful NFL players.

A lot of the best QB's have had some time sitting first in the NFL (Rodgers behind Favre, Young behind Montana, etc.)

no mike vick has been terrible, blaine gabbert is terrible, cam hasnt been good but not terrible. he played pretty good against atlanta today. you dont know anything about football, stick to telling people how stupid they are about cameras

Fantasy points =/= good QB. Winning games, making good plays, not blowing it in the 4th quarter, shit like that is what makes a QB good. Fantasy is based all on numbers, not on how the numbers effected a game or the outcome of a game. I have rodgers and he'd have games where he gave me 20pts but they packers lost and he didnt do that well. A QB can play like shit for 3qs and play good 1q and get a ton of fantasy point.

That being said, cam has been blowing it this year. Have you watched him play? Do you even follow football other than your fantasy team?

Also, I know plenty about football. Cam hasn't been playing good. Ya, vick is worse but the rest of the "worst" QBs I can list with one hand. Someone saying cam has being playing good is extremely inaccurate and then trying to prove it by saying he has a ton of fantasy point is even more ridiculous. Yes, he did play good again atl today but its been his best this year which is far ahead of any other game hes had this year.

Cam Newton has been a decent quarterback this year. I have him on fantasy team but he's been sitting for most of the year. I'm well aware that he isn't having a great season. He is still a better than average NFL QB.

Regardless, that doesn't make your claim that you need to sit out for a season in order to be a good quarterback any more valid. How good a player is at quarterback is completely independent of whether or not they have a "transition period."

if you think brandon weeden or ryan tannehill are better than cam you are crazy. they both have lower qbr, less passing yards, negative td-int ratios and less rushing yards and tds
