Replying to Random Tips & Tricks

Sean...M:
Post random tips & tricks that you've learned and use. Try to avoid posting the obvious ones. These are the ones I've discovered.

In excel, you can enable an option where the computer reads the cell you just typed after pressing enter after it. Very helpful if you're entering in a ton of numbers and don't want to take your eyes off of what your looking at. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhYRklJzl54

When at the bottom of a slope and need to get somewhere, instead of skating or walking, have only one ski on and push with your other foot as if you were on a scooter

At Subway, when ordering a sandwich, if you get it toasted, try having some of the veggies (green peppers, onions, jalapeno) and sauce (chipotle, bbq) on it before they toast it.

If your subway makes pizzas, have then take off all of the top cheese, put the toppings on and then put the same top cheese back on. Also, you can have them make a flame bbq chicken pizza by asking to put bbq sauce and chicken strips on it.

At Chipotle, for a burrito, ask them to mix it up before they roll it

If you assigned questions out of your text book, search the chapter name and "solution" or a key word of the problem (a name thats used or specific number) on Google. There's a good chance a solution manual is floating around somewhere. (Business majors especially)

For writing long papers, change the period size. It'll add a surprising length to your paper

Depending on your company, you can insure your technology (cell phone, laptop) under your homeowners insurance for very cheap. I lost an iPhone and it cost me $50 to replace it.
