Start at Cabelas tomorrow morning for MAD deals, the people there also know what they're talking about. That's if you have one near you... Probably going hunting this weekend for bird (pheasants most likely) with a shotgun, so fun. I'd do skeet but I don't have enough property to do so, and I don't want to buy all those clay pigeons and the launcher.

cabelas is at least a couple hours so its not a possibility. I was thinking of trying to do something on GunBroker, but I'm not sure how the law works when it comes to shipping or crossing state lines

You just have to have it shipped to an ffl holder. I ordered a gun from budsgunshop.com and had it sent to a pawn shop. It was an easy process. Just notify the ffl holder before you place your order.

I use to be an NRA member... you get pretty much NOTHING from a membership other than being harranged to send them more money.

Not worth it IMO and I am a gun owner and love shooting shit.

yeah it definitely depends, they put on some good events though and I compete so thats really why I joined.. plus they do a pretty good job of protecting gun rights

And yeah Panda pretty much you pay for the membership, get your NRA hat, magazines, and invited to events and stuff... But also you get insurance on your guns which is pretty cool.

I'm more interested in it for skeet shooting and such. I'd like a gun that is less tactical and more presentable/historical if that makes any sense.

Like double barrel rather than pump or semi-auto

To be honest, for a first shotgun I would get something like a remington 870, mossberg 500, or benelli nova. They are going to be a hell of a lot cheaper than this gun you posted and they are all very easy to use and clean.

But if you feel you need something like that I personally would get an over under instead of a side by side. Might just be personal preference but I just think shooting them is a hell of a lot easier.

My dad's a member, we only got one because it's 50% off a membership to the gun club/range we're part of if you're an active NRA member.

Hate all the political shit they send though haha, American Rifleman is pretty sick actually.

better? I will take my 500 that can be dunked in a bucket of mud and still function flawlessly. I would get a pump. If you want a gun that can also defend your home get a pump. Use a 28 inch barrel for hunting/skeet and an 18 inch barrel for home defense. Not to mention the shot capacity

The NRA has become nothing more than a front for the GOP. Since Obama has come into office, the only gun laws that have been passed at a federal level have actually expanded gun rights, and yet they still attack him as if he's a huge enemy of gun owners.

I did watch the debate. I saw two candidates, neither of which said anything to suggest they supported greater gun control.

Thanks to Obama, you can now bring a gun concealed gun into National Parks, or in your luggage on an Amtrak train. No restrictions have been passed.

obama clearly said he wants an assault rifle ban like in the 90s in the second debate. He said guns made for the battlefield shouldnt be in the hands of civilians.

Moss 500 love mine or 870's are also cheep good quality 12 gushed to start with, I prefer mossberg personally, great gun for around 300, in my opinio everyone should own a 12g and a 22

No he didn't, he said that most criminals aren't using AK-47s, they're using cheap handguns (which is true, and not even an opinion). He said he wanted to talk about how we reduce violence from guns, he never said he wanted to ban handguns, and hasn't taken any action to do so.

So as a gun owner from the north just want to throw an opinion out there. I own a benelli semi 12, and a moss 4x4 30.06, and a Remington mag.

I hunt, i do some target shooting to keep my skills up.....but mostly hunt. I have shot handguns before at a range, and they are interesting to shoot. They are interesting pieces, but i don't really see the point of civilian use. Now thats just my point of view. I feel that our local police service functions well enough that i don't need to be worryed about break-ins...etc.


Now for my question.....why is hunting/responsible gun ownership singularly associated with the fringe right wing in the states?

Im a liberal, i voted NDP (left wing party in canada).....but i do enjoy shooting, and do enjoy guns. I just feel like you can be a responsible gun owner, and be liberal at the same time. I also don't understand the gun "culture" in the states. I grew up around guns and weapons all my life and was always told that they are tools....and just that, but i just don't see the appeal of weapons beyound that.

No hate.....just trying to understand.

Also.....i find that the NRA are kinda nuts. Just me though.

He's saying assult weapons arnt a problem but I'm going to ban them. Hand guns are the real problem. Wouldnt it be logical to ban the real problem if your going to ban somthing that is not the cause of violence. He is either a retard or I'm right.
