Hey guys, ski season! weew

made a new video, kept it mellow, trying out a new picture profile (i like it) and shot hand held all day! damn, kinda fun to try some new stuff.

NOTE:
YES some shots are slightly out of focus. I understand this, comment on it if you want, I am aware.

Open to anything else you guys have to say, hope you enjoy it.

I noticed that some of those shots were slightly out of focus.

That last shot was awesome, was that exclusively 11-16? Impressively stable, only sometimes shaky. Didn't really care for the song but still cool to see.

Really enjoyed that, great job keeping it stable only hand held.

Only comment that I have about your edits in general is that I find the talking intro gets kinda old and always generally drags on a bit. Guess it builds a but of human feel but I dont feel like its always necessary.

I'm sure if I knew the guy it would be funny, but outside of your PC crew I doubt many people will find it very entertaining. I know I got bored and had to skip through that part.

Thanks, was wondering how he had such a shallow dof at the beginning on the lift with a UWA. Now I'm surprised he had it so stable at 17mm, hope I can get similar stability with 1.6 crop.

I really enjoyed it. I think the vibe was great. I disagree with the talking intro though. I think it ads allot to the video. The only thing i could say is when dale was doing the taps on the pill it would have been nice to hear sound of the tap. It felt kind of unnatural.

I don't like watching park edits for more than a few minutes, especially if it's nearly all rails, but I was stoked the whole way through this.

I particularly liked the sounds, too.

particularly enjoyed more audio in regards of it overlaying with getting some the real sounds of the rails and just things like that. Super impressive for a handheld. Good vibe, enjoyed the lighter feel of it.

Honestly Evan, I wasn't very impressed. I could tell that you spent the day lapping the park, rushing to set up shots. It seems very unlike you, because usually I see nothing of that in your other edits...or am too enamored to notice it if it does exist.

It wasn't necessarily one little thing that got to me the whole time. Things like composition, smoothness (props on handheld, but I could tell and didn't love it), the repetition in the editing (shot after shot after shot without much truly relieving filler), etc just got to me. That being said I did like that color profile; it looked nice.

I think your other work is far more professional and better put together. Looked like a fun day and, like you said, you kept it mellow, but I was expecting better, for whatever reason.

Just my two cents.
