Why are you so addicted to skiing?

This really interesting graphic goes into why we're all so hooked on skiing and learning new tricks. Pretty sick if you ask me. What part of skiing gives you the biggest adrenaline rush? For me it's dropping into a BIG jump line for the first time when you're not totally sure of the speed. Check out the infographic and share your thoughts.

The feeling you get when accomplishing something that your scared to do but you know can be done.
Also when your with your friends skiing, it's like the greatest thing in the world. This is why I'm addicted.

The atmosphere more then anything really. It doesn't matter if you're ugly, stupid, young, old, unpopular, anything really, everyone's there for the same thing, and most of the time all the hostility is gone. And most of the time, you get to meet really friendly people at the hill which is pretty sick too.

I don't know how many runners we have on here, but skiing gives me a different kind of runners high after hiking a feature or doing a big line (no pun intended) for an extended period.

For me, Skiing is the purest experience of living in focus. All other time is spent passing by, and I am waiting for skiing to happen again. be it the next day or months from now. Life/time not skiing occurs and passes, and I am in it, but I feel like I am not truly living it. Where-as the moments spent Skiing I know that I am living and I am getting that pure experience.
9 days boys. Only nine more days to go and I get to have this back!

Because it's the only sport I do for me. Not for my coaches, not for my team, not for my partents, I do it for myself. If i want to progress, only I can push myself, If i mess up I don't feel like i let a bunch of people down, and it just gives me a thrill to be flying through the air or racing down the hill. And i love the feeling of constantly progressing. Also i think a part of it is that I really only get to ski weekends, for less than half of a year, so I'm always wanting more

standing at the top of something ive never hit before is the biggest rush for me. not knowing if ill stomp it is scary. then you get to the bottom and you turn around, look up, see your tracks, and say "fuck yeah i just ripped the shit out of that!"
