If people think Mormonism is a cult, then put yourself in a non-christian mind 150 years after Christ died. You hear about this new belief of eating the body and drinking the blood of some old dude. Seems pretty crazy. Flash forward a few years and kids stand in line for that shit!

Its no less crazy in terms of theology in my opinion but there are definitely some strange differences. Like the secrecy, baptizing the dead, believing you will get your own planet etc.

I just thought the video was pretty interesting because no one has real seen this stuff before.

Christianity didnt actually start that way. The story of Christ is borrowed from ancient myths of Egypt and Babylon and compiled into a single package to be used by the Roman empire to subjugate people. The eating of the body and drinking of the blood of the God/Godess stems way back into antiquity as practiced by the Shamans of the Old Religion now known as Wicca. The Roman Empire and later the Catholic Church mercilessly hunted down and tortured and killed anyone suspected of practicing the Old Religion as a form of cultural genocide to disconnect Europeans from their cultural past. They continued this practice into the New World when they stamped out all the old teachings and language of the Mayans by burning any native literature. This is why so many churches are built on top of ancient cultural sites and many "Christian" holidays such as Christmas are actually pagan celebrations.

The leaders of the Roman Catholic Church actually practice a twisted form of the Old Religion to empower themselves which is a vastly different religion from that which normal Catholics practice. That is why there is an Egyptian obelisk in the Vatican and is complimented by the giant dome as the leaders worship the God/Goddess figure. Catholic priests didnt rape kids for the hell of it, it is part of their dark rituals. That is why the never got punished by the church and were even protected.

Masons have held on to a form of the Old Religion within their organization and kept it a secret by means of rituals an initiation. Joseph Smith realized the intrigue that rituals and symbols held and copied many from Masonry such as the handshake and the positions of the markings on the Mormon "Magic Underwear" to begin his religion that continues to today. Which is unfortunate because Utah would kick ass if he was never successful in creating his cult.
Spark notes: The Catholic Church have stolen the true religion of humanity and kept it for themselves while brainwashing the world to believe a bunch of crap to make them spiritual slaves since the times of the Roman Empire and continues today. Masons kept aspects of the true religion and Joseph Smith used some of their symbols to start the Mormon Cult.

Ive been looking into religion and the history of Christianity for years and this is what I have concluded so far. I have actually been to the Vatican and heard their bullshit excuse for putting an Egyptian Obelisk in front of the Pope's Basilica which they said it was some kind of turnaround point for chariot racing and since they liked it they decided to keep it and "Sanctified it" even though it is considered a highly pagan symbol. Yeah its a lot of shit to lay down in a post and may seem crazy at first but you cant really refute anything I said. Besides, its not as bad as believing you need to go into into a little booth and tell your secrets to some guy in a hat that uses an image of a man being tortured to manipulate you into feeling guilty about yourself every Sunday and who could very well be buggering the alter boy...

Right but that doesn't really answer my question. Well I guess the who, but I already knew that. I wasn't clear about it but I was speaking generally. Still doesn't answer what these people are/were thinking. But I don't think anybody can really answer that for certain.

Dude no. Its not about feasting on flesh and drinking blood. Christians have never eaten actual people flesh or drank people blood. Christ broke the bread in symbol of his body, because a few hours later his body would be broken for everyone. So the bread is just a symbol to remember Christs body broken for you. Same with the wine, except blood spilled for you.

My roommate in Utah was Mormon wow never saw that coming. At first she was find, then I discovered she loved to lie and had a drinking problem. Had an ex boy she always cried about how he was mean to her and would threaten to hit her and then she went and fucked a lot of guys. Like she had a new one in my house each day. Gross Then she stopped going to church and I didnt see her for a while. Then she went back to temple and acted holier than god. She's the pastors daughter.

umm this was filmed by a mormon in a mormon church. you are probably one of the people who has not done this ceremony yet as it said in the video. Plus what kind of media would rebuild a whole church and hire actors just to make a shitty ass video. Since we know it is the real mormon church and you just admitted that it looked bad, u basically just said it yourself that ur religion is bad.

Might not be the case. Im a christian and there are groups that call themselves christians ( westboro baptist church) that are definitely not christians. You couldn't say to me that I just havent gotten to that "God hates fags" stage (which he doesn't at all.) yet. I don't know much about mormons though.

They are Christians. You are just in disbalief that a group so radical could be even close to associated to you and you're "morals" that you hold over everyone else's heads. They are radical, they hate "fags" but so do a majority of christians. Just not to the extent that they do.

People who beleive in the church live their life Monday through Saturday, then when they go to church, they are forgivin, even though they have no regrets for sinning against the church. In my town there are people who rape their girlfriends, smoke meth, beat the living shit out of their animals, and they think it's okay because they go to church.
