The Guardian UK Calls for Bush's Assassination

The award for biggest fuck face ass-hat of the century goes to The Guardian UK.

This rag across the pond has basically implied that Bush needs to be assassinated just furthuring my belief in the fact that I don't give a fuck what they think about our foreign policy in Europe, they are and always will be nothing without us.

On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod's law dictates he'll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?

I think even then greatest dissenters of Bush on this site, if you have any bit of a concious, will agree that this is extremely out of line and uncalled for.

depends on what youre comparing it to. how do you calibrate the political spectrum anyhow? according to all the litte tests ive done that are supposed to show your political persuasion, im a tad bit left of center. i certainly wouldnt call myself a lefty though. compared to historical calibrations, the left today is indeed pretty far out there, or so it seems to me.

the guardian is hardly extreme left, it comes close to supporting tony blair fully on quite a lot of issues (obviously not the war) - i would say its just left of centre if the current UK government is just a tiny bit right of centre. and for gods sake that assasination thing was not serious, it's just british if you want to call it that - the guardian writers are not so stupid to call for political assasination whatever their bias or position; but i suppose they must be as they are hardcore communist scum according to some of you.

www.politicalcompass.com or org or somthing is a good website to test where your at politicaly. and the case of this whole assasination i would say that yea the paper kind of brings into light the views of some in the united kingdom. possibly the majority just depends, was that the trashy one or the good one. but seriously its no that shocking that the UK feel that way they Fried Blare for siding with bush. keep in mind yea thats it i wouldent take any of this to seriously. i dont know if kerry would have done any diffrent.

if you take the assasination bit as not being serious (and it isn't) then i feel the article would represent the majority of people in the UK's view towards the election.

that political compass thing said i was 3.50 left and 5.85 libertarian, not sure if i agree with it, but its on the right lines i suppose.

The World hates the USA. Its all because of your president. Americans are nice people, whenever Ive been in the states or they have come up to canada, Ive only met really cool americans. granted a few fuckers in venice that got the shit kicked out of them anyways. Americais dangerous. You have 300 million people living inside of a box with only news filtered by your government getting in. If you got all sides of the story youd find out how fucked you all are. I would rate would distate of americans just under world distate of nazis. If bush gets reelected your all fucked and so is everyone else.

When he says news filtered by the gov't what he really meant was that we don't have gov't owned news like the CBC or BBC.

If you'd seen some of the flamestorms the CBC has put out against the Federal Liberal Party over the past few years, you wouldn't be saying that. It's paid for by the government, but if it's reporting their message, then our government is far stupider than I could have ever imagined.

not gov't owned, but one must realize that certain stations endorse certain parties, which mean certain corporations endorse certain stations, which leads to candidates, and on and on and on....

CBS is the best though because they just make up liberal news...cough cough dan rather cough.

In light of reading this thoughtful and intelligent suggestion by The Guardian, I would like to offer a suggestion of my own, this one dealing with our current budget deficit. The three-phase plan is as follows: Phase 1-Insert Special Operations units into the capitals of various (wealthy) nations and kidnap their heads-of-state. Phase 2-Contact aforementioned nations and demand ransom payments for said heads-of-state. Phase 3-Use ransom money to eliminate deficit and create a budget surplus. Soon after this plan has been completed, Americans will recognize the genius of it all. Republicans will be pleased because taxes will not have to be raised in order to fill the deficit. Democrats will be pleased because the large surplus created will ensure the ability of our government to inititate and fund various socialist welfare programs.

I just read this article in The Guardian. It's in a section of the TV Guide called 'Screen Burn' that usually takes the piss out of shit TV like soaps. I guess this time the shit TV was the debate with bush etc. So it's a complete piss take, not even an editorial or anything. God....

graves..have you ever watched BBC? how could you possibly call them anything but impartial. FOX news is one of the biggest jokes for news in the world...other american news agencies are not far behind. I would say even GNN.com is more impartial than FOX. Al-Jezzzera is far more impartial than fox. get your head out of your american media ass, and watch the world. try CBC if all else fails.

And JD, bush;s resume was quite the counter example, don't really know how Graves missed that...
