how do i change my ding rating on my brand new marker griffins, also what should i change it too
and does waxing your skis regularly improve overall handling and performance

Don't change your dins. If you type in how to change your din on google it'll come up. You clearly have no idea about bindings, don't mess with the dins unless you want your knees screwed up. Waxing your skis often simply makes them go faster and makes the bases last longer.

with a phillips...in addition to gliding better, lots of waxing will make your base harder to scratch/damage

how tall are you and what's your weight? If you're 5'6 and 135lbs like I am then you'll be somewhere in the 7.5-8 range.
If you don't know anything about waxing, or have the proper tools to do it, I'd recommend taking your skis to a actual shop. Waxing keeps your bases saturated, so they will not get brittle and break, and it really just prolongs the life of your skis. If you buy high quality wax, you'll also go a little, but if you're in the park a lot and doing rails and shit, then I'd just recommend buying bottom shelf.

haha, 8? you're a moron, this kid sounds like he's 10, don't take advantage of his young age to mess with him...

that being said, OP, you want to get the biggest screwdriver in your dad's tools and turn the big screw on the toe and heel of your bindings as far right as it will go. It will get hard to turn, but go all the way until it stops. then your dings are ready, sometimes they lose charge and it will drop, that's what the numbers are for, to show you when to recharge. I always recharge before 10 at the latest, try to keep your charge meter as high as possible at all times. That will ensure that your bindings work properly.

Every time I have taken mine to a shop they always set it to an all mountain setting. Even if I tell them I'm doing park, I've always had best success asking park skiers at the mountain who know what they are doing to set mine up.

they set it that way because they HAVE TO! there's a thing called insurance and if shop techs follow anything other than the guidelines set out by manufacturers, they are not insured and the shop is liable for any lawsuits that may arise from blown knees and spiral fractures.

btw, there is no such thing as an "All Mountain" setting. there's -1, 1, 2, 3, 3+ based on how agressive you are

I didn't know the technical terms, hence why I said I find someone who knows what they are doing, so apologizes for not knowing the right setting names. Anyhow my point was just to state that most park skiers ride with higher dins than the shop will set.

depending on his boot size and skiing ability, (he'll most likely say 3) he could din out (FROM MARKER'S CHART), key phrase in that sentence, at a 7. If he's in a boot size 23-25, he'll be a 7. But he said he's a 6.5 so he's in a boot 291-310 mm long, (a 25-27 shell, give or take). heres a link to the chart if you don't believe me. But he's still an idiot, your right :)

No im like a 1 cause im the #1 ski dude. And my ding is like a 40 but my bindings are broken cause my legs are always breaking when i fall for some reason . stupid right? marker makes the shittiest bindings

it's not that hard lol as long as he doesn't have driver toe's and has to adjust the wings too then I'll bet he'll be okay changing his own din with the turn of a screwdriver. It's not like he's mounting his own skis or something. lol
