This is it. Snowmaking has been on at full force at both loveland and a basin this weekend. With the set back of warm days during the week tho it looked like things wouldnt open up till the 20th or later. Well this storm is coming to our rescue. We should be back on track for mid october opening.

Just LOOK at the coverage. Both American and European standard Weather Systems agree with it slowly hovering over colorado. This is a very good sign. rarely do both systems agree on things. Still its not 100% accurate but the odds are with us...

GFS does not really show anything to crazy with this. Sure, you'll get some high elevation snow with lowering lelvels maybe, but this is no big one by any means.

Well, Keystone and Breck's opening days are pretty much set in stone. They will open when they open even if they haven't gotten any natural snow, and they probably won't open early even with a lot of snow.

Maybe the Legend will be able to open a day sooner with this storm, but given the forecast, even that is looking unlikely.
