I know some of you here at newschoolers are either straight edge or against marijuana. But here is my view, from a pot smokers perspective. Weed passes time. Whenever Im bored and there snothing to do, weed is there. Getting high and reading or watching tv or just being outside is wole new experience everytime. I smoked weed on average 1-6 times a week. I can cleanly say im not addicted to the herb, but just in love with it. Skiing when high is a great experience, and believe me or not but weed brings families together. Whenever i smoke with my cousins and there friends, we share a bond that i would never give up for anything. And smoking with my role model was a life changing experience (i will not name who it was). So before you go and judge pot, consider the good side. And if you have smoked pot you can probably relate to this..share any thoughts/feelings/wuestions/opinions etc...thanks

i actually endorse drug use. i dont do them myself, but i think it acts as a form of natural selection.

a safety conscious drug user...isnt that an oxy-moron?

i smoke less than once a week, and im still smart as fuck so i really think weed doesnt do too much, maybe my short term memory is a little bit fucked but that doesnt bother me, and being high is such a good time that its worth it

i've only been here a short while and have seen 3 discussions about this topic and i'm sure i misses a few. but to sum it up, there's always 1 cocky shit who is absolutely certain weed and all things illegal are bad for you and society usually because he was preached into believing it or is to ignorant to figure something for themselves. don't diss anything before youve tried it.

And I wasn't some ignorant fool who was brainwashed into being anti-drug. I've had many firends over the years since back in 7th grade that started smoking pot. I've seen all of the early ones end up in fucked places in their lives. And the ones that started recently have begun the slide. I DO NOT in any way base my beliefs on anything that anyone else tells me, my beleifs are based on my researched and experiences alone.

I know that marijuana could be a serious danger to me. My family has a history of addiction problems and I have a strong genetic predisposition for cancer. So I know it is in my best interests to avoid it at all costs. Therefore I can and never will try it, yet I will have my own notions of it.

Some people just can't handle it, I know that for a fact. But I know I am able to handle it so I don't care what other people do as long as I'm able to think straight and do what I want to do.

Over time it will probubly screw you over if you smoke too much. Theirs one girl from my school that had to go to rehab because of it and some other assorted stuff, she doesn't look to good now. So I stay awayy from it, alcohol is all you need to have a good time.

I blaze up everyday before school, then again at lunchtime. I didn't miss a single day of this habit last year, finished with a 3.9 GPA and ranked #2 in my class. Then of course toking after school and at night and what-not. Just goes to show that you can smoke everyday, even all the time, and still perform your everyday functions just as well or better... I personally find school such a larger pain in the ass when i'm not lifted, it sucks. Smokin' herb just makes me focus more and get my work done at school, then makes the time pass by quick, so I can continue on with the rest of my day. Outside of school, it's mainly just for enjoyment with whatever I'm doing. Just my two cents.

ok... there is no legit argument saying weed isnt bad for you... unless you have cancer or claucoma(sp?). but when people bitch and complain about people who smoke it gets stupid. sure, smoking bud isnt healthy, so dont do it if you dont want to. it all comes down to choices, if you choose to go for a 7 and you fuck up you could be in a chair the rest of your life. I choose not to smoke. the only reason i will call a friend stupid for smoking is if he has to play a soccer game that night, or is using his lunch money to buy. weed will only make you mentally handicapped if you do it WAY to much, it makes you brain dead.

so fuck all you people who just hate weed, dont smoke it if you dont want to.

yeah but when you say 'weed' you dont take into context where its from. it could be shitty pot dipped in rat poison or lysol. I know I smoked that shit twice thinking it was kind bud then got really sick. thats partially why its illegal. not only that,i dont think it unifies families. I think more families are broken up and get in fights over pot. My mom used to break my peices when she found them. Lots of parents go ripshit when they find out there kids burn.

Im a junior in hs and taking ap classes and classes at yale, do u think I could do that stoned? and whoever said they know a stoner who is really smart and majors in electrical engineering, electrical engineering is really easy. if u wanna smoke pot, go for it, my best freind does... but I cant afford to get involved in it

the smartest people i know smoke, i smoked with a kid last week who got a 1600 on his SATs, fucking annoying kid tho. my best friend is a stoner and at the top of his class at ANDOVER, Phillips acadamy, got 2nd place running for student body president, we all joke he will be the future president of the world, hes already going to inherit FUGITEC the number 1 elevator company in the world.

Marijuana really doesn't effect your grades and such, sure you'll see really smart people smoking but youll also find fuckin moron doing it. It is just because its such a popular substance. You cant blame all the shit that happened to your friends solely on weed, there had to be other circumstances involved. So get your fuckin facts straight you arrogant asshole.
