especially for work in ski areas you just need to talk to the right people in person ...
networking is probably the nr1 most important thing to landing a job in a ski area, at least from what i've experienced. Also think about what kind of job you want to do, ie. lifties or skiteachers are pretty chill but can have a bad schedule meaning you cannot ski a lot. cat driving will give you a lot of time to ski but will be more straining on your sleep, bar work might seem chill but all the people i know who do this work their ass off and are worthless the next day...
from all my friends who do season i think the chillest jobs are working for a travel operator as their 'man' in the resort, you'll end up with a team of other monitors beneath you so you can delegate work and if you do it right you can arrange a lot of free time for yourself without having to work that hard .....
or land a job in a hotel or appartment building doing the laundry service, a friend of mine did this last season in L2A and had to remove sheets in 100 rooms and then put them back on the next day, they did this with a team of 3 and it only needed to be done 2 days a week (1 for removing and 1 for putting them back) he got a free season pass, free stay in the appartments, free booze in their bar and could do his work with the worst hangover ....
long story short, go to a resort now and try to talk to people who you think can help you find a good job !
