Can those who are posting skateboarding as more gnarly than fmx explain to me why? It just seems like everything about fmx, from the speeds, to the size of the jumps, to the giant bike that can fall on you, is more dangerous than skateboarding.

Motocross and Freestyle Motocross are two completely different disciplines. This says they are the same. Obviously didn't do their research on that. I also don't understand how much tougher boarding is than skiing. Stupid article.

Read my post thoroughly. I said Being in the environment. isn't whats being compared, If that was the case then drinking lemonade in a lawn chair on a mountain would be extreme due to the risk of an accident. Also, how do you figure the height of an air is considered an environment? I don't generally start floating in the air when I go to our local track but maybe yours is different  =/
