Wide boots are typically more comfortable than narrow boots, but in the end, the boot has to fit your foot. So yeah, a bootfitter is the best advice. I ride Salomon Spk which are 104 mm wide and really comfortable.

Like people said before me bootfitter, but if you are looking for comfort beyond a good fitting boot I would look into new footbeds, high quality socks, and even liner. Overall as long as you have a good fitting boot they should be very comfy

^ if you have a narrow foot with a low instep those boots will both be very uncomfy. You would have to tighten them so much to keep your foot still, the boot would deform and feel like shit.

Overall the comfiest boot is the boot which fits you the best and meets your requirements from a boot.

Only a good boot fitter can help you with this.

But as was said above good custom footbeds and quality socks are essential to a great fit

get em professionally fitted and they should be great, my new surefoot lange rs140s are significantly more comfy than my old krypton rampages, and they are a size smaller

*sorefoot, and surprisingly i haven't had any problems with them, i only got the 140s coz it was the only shell in my size they had left, wanted rx 130s

Those are great boots but the sure foot liners are junk. They sell you. A shell size that is too big and fill it up with foam.

Actually the liners are not bad, they are pretty much just the Siads Conformables which are some of the best liners you can get.

The issue is with there footbeds, surefoots footbeds are awful and unfortunatly now you have had the liner foamed you cant easily change it to somthing decent.

The other issue is finding staff who know what there doing. You have to get a foam liner right, and more often then not they dont. I have had to sort out so many pairs of sorefoot boots, including some pretty big names in skiing.

most of our freeski athletes are in at least 120 or 130 boots, especially the big mountain guys. Jossi and Riddle ski the Burner 130 and Elias & Andreas ski on a 130 flex boot as well.

Perhaps, but I haven't seen his foot nor seen how big he or what boot he used to ski in. Until that happens, no one can comment on what will be comfortable so you can't rule out boots because you think they are stiff.

the liners are unreal, maybe a little overkill but fuck they fit me so perfectly. as for the shells being a size too big, the actually put me in a 26.5, i was in a 27.5 before. the guy who fitted me was the manager of the whistler store, i think he did a pretty good job, i have probly skied about 120 days in them and have not had 1 thing changed.

are you able to drop any names of who you had to sort out? when i was having the foam injected james heim walked in. and i noticed Sean pettit wears a dalbello krypton pro with a surefoot sticker on it

Well yeah as I said there liners are great, I ski in a pair, its just there footbeds which are the issue, I was working with woodsy this summer, and he had been fitted in the break shop and the boots had not been great to his feet. Sean P does ski in surefoot fitted boots, its a fairly standard rampage. Im hoping to do more work with him this winter.

You can change the footbed in the boot usally so If you wanted to get th best possible fit, come see me when your in whistler and I can look at the boots for you. A good sidas footbed would be perfect in your boots and make a huge differnce.

Also if you want your rampages softening as you were discussing with Onenerdy, bring them in I can do that for you, and we do sell boot heaters but I have always found that a good footbed which helps maintain circulation is more valuable then a heater.
