Binding Help

this year i am looking to get some new bindings i have the look pivots but last year somehow a piece cracked on then lucky with-in the last week of the season but i found a pair of marker jester pro 18 din from last year for 250ish and also a pair of look pivots for about 260ish i believe. just wonders what everyone would think would be a better choice

whats your sizes and ability? Also what are you using this binding for? Pow or park or all mnt?

The plastic baseplate, right? They crack all the time, and this is why turntables suck. Controversial, but true.

Buy some old Salomons, you won't break those.

not to blow smoke up my ass but i would say i am a very good skier and mostl all mountain and then park too no powder live on the east coast in maryland

I thought the FKS/pivots were indestructible? Or are you talking on the 14 din ones that have plastic toe piece?

I ask cause I thinking FKS 180 or 140 for my new ON3P BG for this season. Haven't bought anything yet but wondering.

If you ski aggressively than a 14-18 din binding would be appropriate for your size.

In my experience no binding is invincible. Every binding has parts that can and eventually will break.

Bindings I would suggest you look into are:

STH 16 steel
Marker Jester Pros
FKS 18
Axial 14



these are all burly bindings. But at the same time like any piece of equipment they will break under heavy use. STH and Axials are the most burly on this list and have the least breakable plastic parts. The heel plate and brake assembly on FKS are its weak spot and do break pretty often and are a bitch to replace. That is why I personally don't ride em.
