Yeah, shit if they offered alumanim buckles on their boots (maybe they do and I'm just on crack) for some more money, be the perfect boot quality wise. Never had a chance to try a pair on though, I don't think my shop carries them....
Ok shit, so full tilt does offer alumanim buckles on a few boots, however I don't think they are a 100% metal construction still, which makes them still lack durability. I do love the new drop kicks though as far as colours go.
Full Tilt I doubt you're reading this, but you really need to put metal buckles on ALL of your boots. I have the Classics and I love them to death, but after only having one season on them 4/6 buckles are broken. I know it's not like one post on NS is going to change your manufacturing but please take it into consideration. I know many other people including a bunch of my friends have a few broken (plastic) buckles.
Konflicts are the only cool color this year. Drop kicks would be better with a black tongue. The thing that has my jimmies rustled about full tilt is why anyone in their right mind would pay significantly more for the exact same boot with just a different color and a different flexing tongue, when you can buy tongues for $20 anywhere. I.E. Why would someone buy konflicts instead of just buying drop kicks and getting a cheap flex 8 or 10 to throw on there?
There are a few differences, some have metal parts in the buckles (although with that option I don't believe it's an all metal buckle system which is retarded) while the cheaper ones have plastic, an then other things like liner differences. Not each boot is identical even though it may come across that way.
yes we are reading this. We might miss some posts and comments but generally listen pretty well! We're skiers too and want to make our boots better every year so we assure you your thoughts are heard. Luckily we do stock replacement and so do our shops so bring em back and see if they have any for you. Also if you'd like to upgrade to some metal buckles we have those too! Available in a few weeks.
Thanks for the reply Full Tilt, I'd just say to manufacture all the boots with metal buckles. I wouldn't mind the price being bumped up maybe $50. And to llamberts, I'd say I take good care of them, I don't know how you can really beat the shit out of boots.
