I am aware the site is kinda conspiratorial but the article raises several very good points...I know many of you are gun owners and may not be aware of the UN Treaty.

What worries me most is the Global Gun Registry and the fact the of all countries; IRAN is one of the Chairmen for the convention....jesus christ

Also to be more specific, the UN treaty is about large scale illegal gun running. It has nothing to do with an individual's right to own or carry a gun in any country, so unless you're trying to (for example) sell guns to the cartel by the truckload, this won't concern you.

Related article I literally just got done reading about how the Batman shooting was staged by the US Gov't in an attempt to tighten gun regulations lil. Mostly conspiratorial bullshit and wild connections.

Have you read it, or have you just read what infowars and other idiots say about it? It's an advisory document that gives suggestions to different governments on how to have sustainable growth in their societies, it has no legal authority whatsoever and guns arent even the primary subject of it.

automatic weapons are pretty much illegal.

legitimate reason? Shooting targets for fun. Shooting someone breaking into my house. Shooting bear that live in the woods outside of my front door. The list could continue.

Suggestions to different governments? No, Bill. It suggests globalization. It primarily focuses on trade/poverty and they suggest offshoring companies/jobs. Yay.

Globalization is a fact of the world whether or not anyone suggests it. Its here and it's not going away so how about bitching about all those lucrative sweatshop jobs that have been lost to china you start trying to find real practical ways to compete in a global economy.
