A few years ago I went down to Alabama. When my family was passing a small town there was a sign that said Nigger Don't Let The Sun Set On You. My family wanted to steer clear of that place hahaha. So did I.

just a few days ago I was in Northern Alabama and went to Church. I normally don't go to church but I went with my grandma to be nice. The priest prayed for the pro life activists, hoped god will show his anger to pantheists, and he read a sermon about how doctors just take peoples money and its really the faith and belief in god that heals you. On top of that the priest looked like he could be running a clan. Thats when I new I was in a hick town. As we were heading home I saw a pick up with a confederate flag caring a dead cow in the back bead.

Oh those good old redneck towns.

I was talking to my grandma's neighbor. he is a teacher and I was telling him about the sign I had seen. He then started telling about this kid he had in his summer school class from pearl mississippi. there were 20 black kids and this one white hick kid in his class. The said. " Back in Pearl Mississippi we have clan meetings after church." with 20 black kids in the classroom. The teacher took him out in the hall to talk to him and told him not to do this stuff and he will get knifed or beat up if he keeps blurting these types of things.

Also a bunch of kids at my high school wear double knees too be "hick" even tho half of them live in a sub division. Its a cool thing to say nigger in a hick town too, if im right. Stupid hicks.

I live in a pretty small town, but I wouldn't go saying its a hick town. Most people around here are Republicans and enjoy their guns and hunting.

On a recent trip to Georgia and back, we stopped at a gas station somewhere in Virginia I think. I had to get gas and we wanted some food. Leaving the exit I could tell this was going to be an adventure. The Burger King was part of the gas station and it was like 5 miles from the exit. There was about 20 bikers all sitting around the outside of this place, trucks with stacks, and some pretty scary looking people. The stares I got when I pulled in were downright scary. We were driving in my car:

As I was filling up I could see people pointing at my car. I got gas as fast as I could, pissed, got some food and got out of there as quick as I could. It was the most out of place I have ever felt.

Gonna have to go with my town on this one. Estacada, Oregon, population 2,763. There was a shooting range literally 200 feet from my elementary school... and you should see this place on church day. So many beater pickup trucks with gun racks and huge ass american flags.

I live in a small town in Minnesota, and I still see hicks sporting Confederate flags on there trucks and on everything.

I love arguing with them saying that cars are better than trucks, because they're usually to stupid to think of a good argument haha

There was a town I passed through in mid Utah one time that was literally one stretch of road, a gas station, a general store, and a massive paper factory that made the whole area smell like absolute shit all hours of the day

i drove that entire route from PC to Ft. Collins during a blizzard in March. Some of those old hick towns and rocky cliffs made me feel like there were mutant hicks living in the mountain near an atomic test site that were breeding with women and killing the men... like that move... The real Orange County

The town I live in currently has a large number of hicks. They all have lifted trucks with confederate flags somewhere on them, which I don't really understand because we live in Maine and none of them have ever been farther south than New York. They also wear camo jackets, carhart pants, and work boots (or occasionally camo "shit kickahs" all year round. There's also this weird trend where they wrap rubber bands around the bill of their camo baseball hats at night so the bill almost makes a complete circle, then they tilt the hats all the way back on their head to the point that it's almost falling off. Also there is a new-ish trend of camo tuxedos to prom.

Believing that Sasquatch is actually in the woods there is what the entire place is famous for, because of this many people claimed to have seen him. For fun when hunting and gathering looses it's fun some of the kids go on searches for Sasquatch in the woods. This exhilarating past time is referred to as "Squatching". Then all over town there's statues of him everywhere. Their golf course's country club is a run down hay barn. They live on a canal filled with gnarly chemicals and estrogen which doesn't stop them from swimming/fishing there. Along with the belief in Sasquatch, alien abductions are another favorite. Apparently a few people have legitimately claimed it. Also if you're there make sure you participate in a good ol'5some with some of your best buddies. Get drunk, horney then bare ass naked with your best dude friends, and show some lucky gal the night of her life.

Can't really think of another place quite like it...
