i had a bunch of 1" pvc i found when i started so i made a little rail about 6in high to get the feel of it. transferred all my skiing skill over on the little one (sw ups and 270s) then made a few 10-16in high and learned grinds other than frontside. it's a lot of fun.
its starting already. i hate the whole blader vs skater thing. the entire argument completely and totally illogical. absolutely no one has ever had a good argument either way, and both sides just make themselves sound more and more arrogant and self centered the more they debate it. its apples and oranges, its a false comparison, its complete and total bullshit.
For someone starting out they are fine... Other than that they tend to break easier... Probly better to learn on antirocker anyways. Freestyle frames just snap way to easily.. I'm 180lbs + tho so that probly isn't helping
Yes, use NSG. There is a whole thread dedicated to inline. Second, never ever buy used skates ever. EVER.!.!.!. It's like buying used ski boots, snowboard boots or even shoes. Yopu don't want to buy used shoes. Don't buy used skates. Remember. You get what you pay for.
yes, remz are a solid choice and cheap. I would recommend a different set of wheels and bearings as the stock ones are poop. The frames that come with them are decent but I would get kizer fluid 4's or GC featherlites, and they will serve you better. Tighten remz quite tight or they might get floppy over time.
When I ski with backpack I use to put a pillow in it, but you know how to not fall on you're back it's useless. I have this protection short, PROTEC makes good ones. It's good when you fall off rails, it prevents bruises and shit.
Yeah the genesys series is a higher end beginner skate so definetly go with them. As far as frames go it doesn't matter too much for basic grinds. I'm using freestyle frames right now but I prefer anti rockers.
don't get xsjados to start out and DO NOT GET FREESTYLE FRAMES
those 'triangle' frames that feel like skiing will buttfuck your skating and make you really sloppy
get antirocker frames with the little plastic wheels in the middle
remz os, razors gen, and valo are really good skates for beginners
