Im i claiming to be from the ghetto no, Does Hartford have gangs yes, is gang violence a problem there, yes. i've been down there and i can honestly say that out if most of the cities in the usa ive been to it is not anywhere near the worst or one of the worst. however back to the thread i think what your doing is really funny and i will still stop in here to see how this turns out.

Per Capita, NY has cleaned up its act a lot. They had the resources and made it a priority to clean the city up and turn around its reputation, and they've been pretty successful. NY hasn't been "the" grimy city in years.

Hartford is hood as fuck, and as a kid who grew up in a small city (Wilmington, DE) with a serious drug trade, a lot of times people from smaller places have a chip on their shoulder or an insecurity complex bc their cities don't have "clout" and they're liable to do some wild ass shit. Hartford and Wilmington are similar in that they both are refuge cities for people who have fled NY, Philly, DC, Bmore and want to sling in cities that are ill equipped to stop them and/or to start over.

Any cities with open drug markets are no joke, whether the population is 50,000 or 5,000,000.

Albany Avenue is the notorious street in Hartford; I've had family friends come out with bullet holes in their cars. A friend and I drove around the area one Halloween night. It was the only time I've ever been in that area, and god damn it was sketchy. People just walk around in the streets; like, in the middle of this four lane street. We saw some wierd shit, it was definitely quite strange.

I'll stick to suburbia thank you.
