no experience with pb guns but either the tank is broken or he fucked you and you bought a broken gun

what do u mean no co2 comes back? the hissing when u air up is normal it hisses for a second then u can fire. i dont get whats wrong with ur marker

are you cocking it back far enough? also maybe theres a safety on it

I had a similar viewloader for my first gun maybe 6 or 7 years ago. It sounds like you may have an air leak or blockage (although you should hear a constant hissing if it's a leak)

Here's what to do:

1) disconnect the air tank
2) ***MAKE SURE THE GUN IS NOT PRESSURIZED***
3) field strip the gun, check for missing o-rings, or any debris lodged in the gun.
4) if you don't find either of the above problems, you may have to further disassemble the gun and check for the same stuff.
5) if you still don't find anything, it may be a blockage in the air line. You could take it off and try blowing through it to see if you can. If you cant, buy a correct sized replacement ( http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=3488701 ). If you can, I don't know what the problem is, and I suggest trying to return it to him for your money.

Make sure that when you reassemble the gun everything is oiled up and ready to use.

The hissing sound is normal because when you screw in your tank, the pin on the tank is being pushed in (so no need to worry there). Since it's no shooting, try pulling back the pin on the marker and check to see if the safety is off.

Yeah, make sure that you're using a full air tank and fulling cocking the gun/the safety is off before following the directions I posted. Although it still wouldn't hurt to give everything a good oiling before you start using it, you don't know how well he did or didn't take care of it.

Also, make sure the velocity adjustment screw isn't bottomed out.

viewloader isn't really that good in the gun department,
paintball you can either jump in or step in if you step in and want to get all the leet stuff you will be upgrading most the stuff you by that you start out with.

I suggest finding a nice mask that shits important - seeing, comfortable, not fog
then you will probably want hpa(high pressure air) instead of c02 - it's more consistent
but it can be less convient to fill up if there isn't a pb field around, c02 you can get at a co-op or army surplus or something.

then a electronic hopper or loader so you don't chop paint
then the gun

so that's like $270 and a nice beginner setup
if you want electric a Gog envy or azodin blitz
electric can be more finicky and wanst hpa usually 

you can spend more on the gun and the air tank other stuff is good,, only thing you might change would be the hpa tank to a c02 20oz if you can't fill hpa

Its not the safety- i cock the the bolt and fire the trigger and the bolt moves but no co2 comes out, definantly got some block-i field stripped it a couple times gonna go even farther today, thanks for the help
