Should I troll these people?

Now I'm all for giving my hard earned money to the heir to the nigerian thrown, but that's different. That's easy money without work.


So I get this call the other day and ignored it cause I was half conscious. Anyway same number calls back today and its a 518 area code so I answer is(I answer random numbers most of the time, if it's people people retarded I just hang up)


Hey, this is natasha with "vector?" I actually work with sarah ****** at her new job. And she just started working with us and has been doing extremely well and shes been great to work with and the reason why I'm calling is we've had some opening on our team and sarah actually recommended you as someone who would be interested in making a little extra cash and would be great for the position so I definitely wanted to give you a call and tell you a little bit more about what we have available and invite you in for an interview you can reach me at......



^Note the lovely run on sentence and lack of any details whatsoever. Vague as fuck.


I'm wondering if this is like those magazine crew or something. Should I callback and tell them some ridiculous shit. Go to an interview and do something ridiculous. Get a job and go undercover unveiling the injustices that probably exist in whatever sketchy environment they offer.


Also she was pushing toward this interview not giving any info. Then asked me to spell my full name to make sure everything was right for the file or something. So they didn't even have my full name. Told her I'd call her back. Wanted to come up with a plan.


Is this just your standard thing or is this something worth fucking with. I don't want to call back and just tell her to go fuck herself if there's a golden opportunity.

Vector is Multi level marketing. I think it is knives, and I think it is pretty new. MLMs work for some people...but not most.

Damn so it's just it's just one of those shitty legit but not at all legit things where they tell you to sell tupperwear, knives, meth, whatever and you make a certain amount based off what you sell which adds up to pretty much nothing. And you have to go door to door and people hate you. And they show you pictures of people that are driving around in lambos because they got this sweet job opportunity?

I was hoping it was more underground and dangerous.

It's selling cutco cutlery. They tried to get me to do it a couple years ago. They just want you to go to people's houses and sell them knives while trying to make it seem like experience working for them is invaluable. Basically it's a scam, but as with anything I know a guy that made bank working for them.

But I like what I'm hearing. I won't call the trial yet but it seems like the verdict is heading toward yes to troll. Nope I'll just have to think up something ridiculous, hopefully something borderline legal, and absolutely epic.


Is there any angle I could take to this that could get me on the orielly show? Im still trying to find ways to do that

I literally got that call 2 days ago. They want you to sell Cut-Co knives. Or at least that is what they wanted me to do. The person who you know who they mentioned gets a referral bonus of you join.

Once she said the words Cut-Co I was like
"I dont have time to do that"
She replied, "Do you want to hear more about it?"
"No"

And that was the end of our conversation.

Call her back and try to sell them on a brand of knives that they should sell instead of Cut-Co.

I still think you should go in with a set of knives you bought at bed bath and create a sales pitch for them. Try to sell them on switching companies.

If they actually buy the troll, you will make money providing the knives to them.

Absolutely troll Vector.  I trolled the Southwest Company by going through all their interview crap, constantly asking annoying questions about what kind of lunch I would be having on a days work, what sort of people are most likely to buy their shit, etc.

Some ideas on how to troll them:
-Bring your own knife set to the interview, ask if you can sell it.
-Try to get hired, call in sick every day until you are fired.
-keep rescheduling your interview.

my dad wanted me to do the cutco job training last summer because he said it is valuable to be able to sell people a product they dont want haha. vector fucking sucks. troll the shit out of them.

on a side note, cutco knives are actually really awesome

their product is actually really good, but the job fucking sucks. those knives are the shit, but they're expensive as fuck if I remember correctly. i honestly wouldn't even waste my time with it....unless, of course, you're that bored and have nothing better to do. in which case, yes, troll the fuck out of them.

And something very similar happened to me. I was just walking around one summer grabbing applications for any place that said it was hiring. They gave me an interview right on the spot and offered me a position without telling me what the hell I would do. I said I'd call them back and never did. They called me a good 10 times probably. Sketchy as hell, and I've only heard bad things about working for them.


So yes, troll them somehow.
