i tore my rectus femoris in rugby last week, what should i do to ensure that it heals properly?

Find yourself a GOOD physical therapist, and do EVERYTHING they tell you to do. NEVER slack off when it comes to therapy and doing what is necessary to help an injury heal and recover fully. This is especially important when dealing with something that is as strong and essential as a quad.
