Looking to get into smoking

Look, I know this is a stupid thread and all, haters gonna hate, whatever. I'm looking to start occasionally smoke weed. Yeah, I'm a badass, get over it. I have a few friends that smoke so I wanna do it occasionally do it with them. I was thinking of just buying a cheap little metal pipe and a grinder. Anything else I need to get started? I don't really know where to get weed but I'll check around. Also, what's it gonna be like my first time? Am I gonna cough like a bitch? Really I'm just looking for some helpful tips to get started. The wooden pipe is fine. Possibly the bubbler is fine, depending on how you make it. Throw that other shit away. It's going to fuck up your lungs.

pop out the stem and stick a pencil straight down into the center, then stab it with the pencil from the side so it intercepts the hole from the top. the bowl is the top of the apple where the stem used to be.

I'm sorry but this is simply not true. I started smoking at 14 and drinking at 15. I take both in moderation and haven't fucked up my life at all...I maintain good grades and balance extra curricular activities, sports, and community service.

That being said, depending on your self control abilities, it can get a little out of hand. Pace yourself, and don't prioritize weed. If you find yourself working your schedule around getting high, you have done something wrong.

So OP, I feel like I remember you saying in another thread that none of your friends smoke and you go to a tiny ass high school. My advice in that case would be
1) Don't...90% of the fun when you're high is just shooting the shit with your friends, it's nowhere near as much fun alone. Also having friends who have experience with you helps a ton
2) If you do get weed and definitely wanna smoke, just google up some ghetto shit. If you're feeling ambitious go for a grav bong or something, but if not try making a bong out of a water bottle, a pen, and something metal for the bowl. There are lots of tutorials on google.
3) Hide your shit...well. It's good to be somewhere that's convenient but at the same time an unknowing person would never find, e.g. the PS2 stash spot (again, google it).
4) For your first time make sure you've got time to do it at least twice...first time I smoked I didn't have the coughing up problem, I just didn't really feel anything. We went back an hour or 2 later and I got actually high. Then we went in again and I got really high
5) Do it outside, or somewhere where you can leave the window open all night (assuming you're doing it at night) to let it ventilate
6) If you plan on owning a piece or two and keeping that and weed in your house starting right now, you need to accept that the odds are easily 60% that you'll get caught by your parents before you move out.
7) If you go in paranoid, you will continue to be paranoid....like really badly paranoid. A couple weeks ago I knew I had like 5 hours until my parents got home but I had legitimately convinced myself that I was hearing them walk in and talk to my sister downstairs.
7) Whatever you do, DON'T be the "I'm SOOOO High" kid...no one likes that kid.


So do it if you're really interested; don't expect any huge enlightenment (although it has changed how I look at some things).

Also, to all the people in this thread saying "You'll end up lazy and dumb" you're over-generalizing: I personally feel really motivated when I'm high and I'd say overall it has actually helped me to become more motivated in general.

thanks for the advice everyone. Right now I'm making a bong out of a tic Tac case, hollow tubes of broken pen, and using the little metal nut/wrench/bolt/idk what the fuck it is as the bowl, and gonna stick another tube out the hole as a mouthpiece.

exact same thing for me but the other way around with the ages, if you practice self control, and get involved in other activites besides recreational use of the substances, then youre gonna be completely fine. Just don't do it excessively, and know when to stop.

I smoked first when I was 14 and I hated it. I enjoyed it, but it maid me more anxious and depressed. I smoked rarely up until this year. I graduated in January and I'm out of the bad environment that made me depressed. I don't think pot is good for High School. Your brain is developing during that period. Start when you are more mature. Senior year is a good point in you life to start. Lots of independence and you release a lot of stress then

personally i usually enjoy smoking alone more. granted im an introvert and get stressed out around people a lot and when i smoke, even when its with friends, i spend way too much time thinking about whether or not im being "cool" or if im completely geeking out and annoying people. it makes me paranoid being around people. i love being alone, especially out in the woods or a field or something where i can just think whatever i want to think about, do what ever i want to do, and im never worried about trying to fit in with anybody. i just let my brain go and it feels like my head is a dog that got let out of its cage and is running around a field off the leash haha.

smoking a plant is one thing, smoking plastic is another. please please don't use anything plastic or aluminum/tin foil. shit is seriously unhealthy. if you're really that curious about weed, invest in a nice little glass piece first.

Nothing wrong with weed, doesn't really harm your body and pretty social but not a habit you need. You end up spending the equivalent you did on weed on movies and food, so it ends up being pretty expensive and instead of being productive and doing what needs to be done you end saying "hey I could mow the lawn, or just peace and get high" or "fuck it im already to high to do anything" . you just develop an unfashionable lifestyle. And this is from experience so dont hate

to anyone saying that he shouldnt smoke weed, how many of you drank at that age? Im by no means advocating 14 year olds smoking, but if they must try something, weed isnt even close to as physically destructive as alcohol is.

and op, when you mature you will realize that you dont need to drink until you pass out and wake up in the hospital, i enjoy having a buzz over being completely drunk where i dont remember anything. although they are both fun.


plus like jibpsy said you dont have to make some sketch ass pipe, if you are going to smoke just buy yourself a glass piece and you will be much better off.

the only advice i have for you is to please avoid smoking from anything other then items meant to be smoked out of.  i don't want to hear another case of a kid trying to smoke from a pez dispenser, dying, and the media claiming it was the devil's lettuce.

in 8th grade i had some of the best smoke seshes with multiple 4 gram platinum blunts with 10 or so kids sleeping over at one friends house smoking all night long. those were the days my friend. it all comes down to control and having school come before your high. im not endorsing this route for you just make smart decisions and be motivated to do something with your life. i know kids who are complete stonetards and are completely unmotivated with 1.2, 1.6 gpa and have no interest in going to colledge or getting a real job. the goal of the day for them is to get to only get high. don't turn into one of them.
