OK hold the motherfucking presses here...

What I see is that there is this gigantic RedBull contest going on, where the are claiming they're going to build the single craziest idea ever suggested. In theory this is amazing...

HOWEVER

I'm extremely upset that this contest isn't being strategically attacked by our website with a flood of the greatest fucking ideas ever to be conceived.

I mean jesus christ people... this is RedBull giving you a potentially unlimited budget to do something that skiing has only ever fantasized about....

Lets up the ante... if its a newschoolers' idea (post it here when you submit) that wins, we'll send you one of everything we have in the store, as well as making sure to attach your name as the legenday visionary that made skiing cool again.

So if you've already entered, share what you've done here and lets help 'em up the ranks. If not... well then jesus what in the balls are you waiting for?

some of those ideas are super lame.


I have an idea.

get them to make the most epic city jump.

find a building that's maybe 80 feet across and do this right downtown somewhere and build a sick gap over the building.

the higher up everything is the better

or a way better redbull playstreets or whatever it was. they should really just get a ton of snow and make a course in a city using natural obstacles.

What about a zero gravity park? You build the park inside an empty/cargo 747 or A380; take it up to 40,000ft and get parabolic

The sickest thing would be a ski/snowboard mix between Supernatural/Cold Rush/JOSS for two weeks and the teams would have to be half snowboard/ski. So basically a 2 weeks video contest for park/bc/urban. They could do it in Europe so that people can build their own BC kickers in bound and not have to worry about sleds and helis. Also the could make a bunch of man made BC features made by the event's organisers(supernatural style), 4-5 huge private park features(hips, jumps, rails) and a van to go shoot urban in the nearby towns. I would like to see it ski/snowboard because I think that it's a shame that almost every top event other than Dew/X is one sport only. It would have been so awesome to see skiers at Supernatural and snowboarders at the Nine Knights for example. An event that makes both sports progress at the same time would be the best. Even if an event like that was ski only, I would be fucking stoked. Also, it would really make interesting strategy choices for teams. Would it be better to make a team with only "all-arounders" or pick 2 100%park/urban riders and 2 100% BC riders.

That would be my dream event.

I feel like red bull is more likely to pick ideas that incorporate more than one action sport...

i.e. Have a jump sesh in some random location - desert/city/rainforest

Mega ramp for skaters/bmxs

Andreau Lacondeguy size jumps for Mountain Bikes

Ship in tons of snow for skiers and boarders, 80ft or larger jump

An urban course with skiers and snowboarders(maybe others) being pulled by cars for speed to features such as rails and jumps and it is also a race in the car aspect.

I think we should do the age old question what is better ski or board .
we have 2 teams 1 ski 1 board in the team we have 2 urban ,2 back country ,2 alaska ,2 park rats and 1 all rounder.
teams have 1 month to put together individual edits(urban edit,BC edit ect)so while all the teams are making there edits the two all rounders are making their own personal edit after the 5 edits are done they get judged and given points,.out of all those edits one massive edit is made .A" THIS IS SKI" edit judges judge that too most points get to be the better sport.

all this silly bitching about what is better will be done with too .
Well thats my epic idea feel free to modify it and to enter it (i cant becuase i live in NZ)

bring back the superparks. theres a thread about it right now and im about to submit a video to the page. just make huge fucking jumps and rails etc, all built to just be as big and dangerous as possible. thats so redbull.

Close off a very windy ski road (Kicking Horse), race up it. From there, get your stuff on, and a Heli takes you to slime mountains near by (side country). Then! Big mountain comp with a massive booter at the end

Dude I had the same idea - except...

Make it a step up jump where there is a series of rails and a sliding surface across the whole roof. So you step up, land on the roof (or rail), slide across, then huge gap to landing off the edge. Then you go down that landing and up onto a gigantic building ride on the other side of the street with like a 32' Quarterpipe. It'd be like 2 full city blocks of jib.
