Track And Field Thread

Soo I dont think there have been any track and field threads recently, and I figured I'd start one. Put general discussion here, and talk about meets and events.

I'm a long/mid distance guy, usually run 400m/800m/occasionally the 1600m. fun but very painful sometimes

I really hate it, wish I coud quit but my coach would kinda get mad and I'd fall way out of shape and have nothing to do besides fap

I'm a sophmore and run 800 usually and 1600, and I suck, my best is 2:30 and 5:43, and I'm still as good as I was in 8th grade (when I was actually goodish). Right now its just no fun and I'm probably not gonna do it next year.

nice man! we too didnt have a coach for pole vault, actually taught myself how to bend and got my PR senior year of 11ft. i was stoked.

I'm 9 years old and run the 100 meter in 6 seconds, backwards. I also can long jump roughly 54"6 on one leg. After spending 40 years in Iraq, the track team had to order me a custom jock strap for my enormously large penis.

I ran 7 min flat miles when i was 7/8 years old.


I prolly could have gone far. Then I just didn't get any faster. Never even broke. 6 min lol. Distance I could do though, but not fast enough to get anywhere.

nice, my friend just broke our school record and went 15' 1". we have a reallly strong vaulting program

i vaulted freshman year and for like two weeks of sophomore year until i got a stress fracture in my back. but i was so terrible, my pb was 8', so for junior year and this year ive been doing mid/long distance

my friend also got a stress fracture in his back from PV. we also had a kid die from PV in our section my senior year, fell head first into the pit. crazy stuff

He legitimately died? that's awful. I've seen some pretty iffy vaults and kids landing on their backs near the planting area (can't remember what it's called) but nothing that bad

All i run is the 800 and i'm not even very good at it. My PR is 2:11 as a freshman. This year i'm still getting into shape and am running like 2:16. I really hate running.
