Yeah, I'm trying to access Level 1's website to read the "how and why we came to the decision in the most highly-contested and difficult call we've had to make yet!", but the site looks down..
Idk man, like I said in the other thread, he definetely has a pretty unique flow through the park and is definetely a good skier. The lazyboys are pretty cool too, but I just can't really that style or riding translating to, say a super park shoot, or any of the crazy urban level 1 typically shoots on.
Either way, I'm sure level 1 knows what they are doing better then me, and I bet the kid is stoked and will make the most of his oppurtunity.
the only question is why wasn't he just a finalist to begin with? but furthermore, watch his superunknown video and 11 season edit back to back and tell me he isn't super creative. thats what l1s lookin for in the long run, someone who brings something real fresh to the table, not another tom wallisch or whoever, someone who does their own thing. all these other guys are definitely sick and will definitely have a place in the ski industry, maybe even with level 1 (correct me if im wrong but i think they sometimes end up givin runner ups some shots)
big up's because I couldn't have made a better edit. I enjoyed his season edit a lot more than his superunknown. Not going to lie I thought there we're better entries.
cool skiing, looking forward to his shots. enjoying all the controversy. some really dope skiing throughout the entries, props and respect to all the entrants and kudos on not crying about coming up short.
couldn't say it better. Im not saying you have to be throwing dubs all day, my favorite level 1 guy has got to be delorme but you still know hes still going to toss a cork 3 over the gnarly 110 ft step down or something like that. Just not my top pick, but congrats regards.
