^Max is way better than just about anyone on this site. I can't believe you would even say that. There is a reason those guys are sponsored, because there fucking amazing skiers. K2 must think Ben's a pretty damn good skier since he's the only telemarker on their factory team which puts him at the same level of any of those guys. You obviously don't know what yur talking about and haven't seen these guys ski. And tricks are alot harder on tele stuff. It's way less stable because your entire foot can move around. And obviously harder for landing switch since most alpine skiers land over their toes when landing switch. Unfortunately telemarkers don't have that convenience.

Watch the movies you'll see that I'm in all of them right from the begining. Before max was even around. i am the only tele coach up on the whole glacier anymore. Don't tell me I don't know what the fuck i am talking about. You say the vids are lame then why tell someone that allready thinks You ( wait imean the sport) is gay to watch something you aren't even proud of. Man you are one dumb fuck.

lets see where would you like me to start I have been on mag covers in SBCSkier Skicanada Freeze freeskier in Warren Miller, UnParralled 1 2 and 3 ToughGuy's 123 Pimpn Frogs first strike The new Jib Culture movieand a bunch of mags in Europe and Australia. I coch for COC on Blackcomb I have toured on the IFSA world tour for like 3 yrs and ste USTSA for the same. and as for switch landings spend a day sitting on the slow chair over the Highest level park on blackcomb and see how many people stom their landings as opposed to toching their hands down

I just don't get you steve. If you are a telemarker then why don't you give those guys more credit. Max is THE best at what he does. And he's better than most alpine skiers. Seeing him ski at Squaw he was by far the best skier I'd ever seen in person. Sure that changed when I got to ski with Pete O at Hood but Max is still way up there. I haven't seen Ben or Lorenzo ski big mountain but they were still throwing down some sick tricks in the park. As someone who rides the same way they do I don't understand how you don't seem to be that impressed by them.

Actually I do have heaps of respect for these guys as skiers and people. I consider them all good friends. but when you get on here talking for them and trying to be all i'm the best and my sport is awsome you can't think bad of me thats bullshit. let people think whatever they want you are never going to change every ones mind, if you had taken to heart what i said earlier this hole thing would have been over and done. If someone gives you props you need to ski harder and keep it up if someone disses you then go out there and ski harder to get better. if you actually care so much about how people preceive tele skiing then get out there and represnt on the hill all day throwing down and reping with the best attitude. that is what will change peoples idea of whats gay

I see what you are saying for sure Steve. I just don't get the people on this site sometimes. Everywhere I've skied people are always super stoked to see that I tele in the park. Random people always come up and ask me questions about it and want to talk about. I've had nothig but a good vibe from people everywhere that I've gone. People always give me props and are really cool about it. Then I come on here and everyone is bashing it. I just don't get it. I guess I'm just glad I don't ski where all these people do.

Theres something very akward about tele style, you can't lean at all and it looks kind of akward. Plus no nose pressses. I could also see complete death on a switch landing leaning up hill, you'd just shoot out and die.

the movie "since we last spoke" has some pretty insane tele jibbing. some of the guys are doin some mad tricks on rails and off the jumps. one guy did a cork 9 and it actually looked really smooth. if i hadnt know better i would have guessed he was on normal skis.

And some of you guys are filled with shitheaded ignorance.  You can nose press on tele, and theres a couple of moves that are tele specific.

And most of us tele'rs dont give a fuck that you guys think it looks goofy or dont like it.  We do it because we really love this shit.  Theres no big money and comps for tele like there is for alpine.  We have fun doing this and its more of a challenge and so why does it matter as long as we arent fuckin shit up?

but i dont get why you would consider ur self park specific as a tele-er.  i didnt see the heel lifted once in that "progressive tele jib" vid of yours.  it seems absolutely pointless to rock free heel in the park when if you nailed a cork9 on teles- it looks the exact same on alpines.  your nailing percentage is probably lower too than if you just strapped on alpines in the park and teles on the mountain

first of all, i would LOVE to have you come up here to alaska and ski with me. keep in mind we dont have a park little guy, so bring a pair of balls and maybe a sack big enough to hold them, because right now, their sitting loosely in your big mouth making bullshit come out when you talk. your butt would be puckered the whole time, and we all would laugh at the kid who cant hang. maybe its that youv never seen a good telemarker, i dont know. or maybe you saw a douche tele skier in the park thinking he was cool. but man, god knows there arnt any douchebag alpiners or snowboarders out there. no, your right, their definitly all cool.

second of all, who gives a honest fuck whos in the park given its not you.

third, the rants on dirty hippy skiers, go for it. maybe you didnt say it, but someone did. its like making a joke that everyones heard and no one thinks is funny anymore. especially the hippies. they laugh because they feel so much better about themselves than you probably ever could. dont get me wrong, im not a hippy in anyway, but im telling you, they really dont give a rats ass if a 15 yera old park skier gives em shit for skiing more powder than you could probably imagine. no one cares. specially the tele skiers on this site, because im pretty sure that a hippy wouldnt be a member of a website called "newschoolers".

D) and if you landed switch the right way, you wouldnt be dragging a hand or leaning forward. when a telemarker lands a switch landing, even "leaning up hill" like you said, their heels are on their skies. takes skill to land it. not saying i ever have or ever will ski park and/or ride it tele, but the guys who can and do, can land without "shooting out and dieing". good one.

and for those who ask why we just don't alpine in the park since our heels never leave our bindings mostly anyways...  same reason a lot of people here haven't tele-ed yet.  gear's expensive.  to not only buy our tele set ups but then go and buy some new $500 alpine boots and $200 bindings with whole new set up o skis.  money people!
